David, I have mentioned this before. I run a Jets group on FB. Great group of mostly over 50 guys that love the game and of course the Jets. I post your articles everyday shortly after reading them. They are very well received. As for todays gem, my favorite part was the paragraph after the throw chart. Particularly when you mention the 2.5 seconds to release the football part. That’s such a key number because it tells you MW is seeing what the coaches are prepping him to see instantly and acting on it accordingly. For me that has been the key to getting this offense on track. This is exactly what ZW struggled with. He was not seeing or reading the keys and that caused the hesitancy’s which resulted in fundamental breakdowns that lead to his inaccuracy issues. There are times in a game where an off balance throw might be necessary. But it should no be an every down thing.

Possible that we may see Bryce Hall this weekend, has been inactive forever. There have been hardly any injuries in the secondary this year. Defensively it’s been a pretty healthy year. Mims quietly had 3 catches, Davis needs to stay healthy. Lawson is 15 million against the CAP in 2023, the emergence of JJ & Cleamons. Curious if you can get a deal for 15 million edge rusher, maybe.

David, why can't the Jets run a screen pass successfully.

David

Since you zeroed in on the pass blocking efficiency, will you be doing a seperate run blocking analysis?

I think our run blocking, by eye-test, has been atrocious for the last 3/4 games. We are going nowhere if we don't have the ability/confidence to run the ball. The fact that Mike has proven himself to be more than a dink n dunk QB should help w/ loosening up defenses.

There. isno decision - Zack Wilson has to be number 2 this week. Also, Mike White has lead the team to a win now. All the allcolades are not transforming into wins.

As crazy as it sounds, Saleh probably has to make one of the most important coaching decisions of his career regarding the backup quarterback of all things. The main problem here isn’t the talent aspect of who is picked but the acceptance aspect. Human nature what it is, I find it hard that Zach has many friends in that locker room. If he is the backup and is forced into the game and gives another disastrous performance, he would definitely be finished in his teammates eyes. One point that was made by one beat writer, he has never been a very popular player among his teammates due to his entitled arrogance. The NO wasn’t the straw that broke the camel’s back but the NO was the ton of bricks that did. Aside from hoping that White doesn’t get hurt, it would seem that Strevler should be the pick. Flacco should be put out to pasture.

David, I’m not privy to all the statistics that you use but could you give your readers where the Jets stand injury wise as compare to other teams. Injuries seem to be the biggest enemy of this team no matter who the HC is

Regarding our backup QB, I don't want to see Zack again this season or really ever. But Flacco is just not an option. Which, ironically, leaves a great choice -- Streveler!
