Great analysis as always...

I think Saleh is on the verge of losing the clubhouse as it is obvious to all that indeed there is talent on the offense perhaps on a par with the vaunted defense and there is only one reason we aren't seeing it.

Announcing that he is starting Zach again might be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Thanks Philipp.

I do think that's a real danger, the players came out to defend Zach but they were always going to do that, regardless of how they felt. The media team would have been all over them to ensure that they didn't fan the flames. Multiple beat reporters have said the locker room is far from united in their belief in Zach.

I don't think benching Zach is calling time on his career, but I do this it acts as a motivating factor to get him going. If he needs to wait until the off-season to stake the claim to the starting role again then so be it.

Firstly, props for watching Sunday's game AGAIN ! I couldn't put myself through that again.

I think it's time for a change. Putting in Zach v Chicago is risky. First couple of stray passes and the Metlife crowd will be on him and if confidence is his problem then that is shot.

I have no preference on whether it should be White or Flacco that goes in but after Garrett Wilson's post game interview and Zach's lack of accountability to the Defence on Sunday I think a change is gonna come.

My concern is that Zach plays, and he's pretty average. Basically what we've seen when he hasn't been awful, and then people think that's enough to prove he's the guy going forward. As mentioned in the article, unless he puts up video game numbers we have to look at the QB position in the off-season. Whether that's Jimmy G, Minshew or whoever.

This team with competent QB would be a shoe-in for the playoffs.

I've said to you before that I thought Zach would come good but Sunday's game showed me that I'm likely wrong on that. I'm not sure what the Jets need is another rookie QB, we've been playing that game for 5 seasons now and look where we are. I think we need a veteran but "who" is the question. With Douglas' connections to the Eagles then Minshew is a good shout, he can't be worse than Zach right now. Jimmy G heading up this offence is SF 2019 all over again. Not sure about Derek Carr but many others online have been making a case for him. Those advocating for Lamarr or Brady are living in a dreamworld.

Agreed. The defense is too good and we actually have so many offensive weapons. The issue with Zach is that he's not getting the ball into the hands of the weapons and when he does it's often late or off target which limits YAC potential. This offense should be a YAC nightmare for defenses with the likes of Moore, Wilson, Carter and even guys like Conklin.

I'm not sure a rookie QB is the right direction either, but it depends who falls and for what reason. I like the idea of a Jimmy G, Minshew, Carr, someone like that...but financially we're up against it. I think I'm going to look at that aspect in tomorrows newsletter a little bit, would make for an interesting study.

David, thanks again for another really good read. I find myself saying this everyday as your articles are consistently on the money.

Thank you Ron. Really appreciate it. I didn't really want to be talking about the Jets QB situation this early in Zach's career, but here we are.
