This coaching staff deserves a lot of credit for the things they've gotten right. But they deserve a whole lot of criticism as well for not being able to figure out how to utilize these wide receivers. This offense is where second round wide outs apparently go to die. It's critical that Mike LaFleur figures this out in a hurry if the Jets hope to make a run at the playoffs.
Absolutely Rich. There are multiple teams around the league who have multiple good receivers and they all find a way to develop a game plan around getting the ball into all the hands. If they think Wilson is WR1 then he should absolutely get a higher proportion of the looks, but to not feature Moore at all? I mean that's a problem for me.
If it’s true, that Moore was being punished on Sunday against Buffalo, then either Saleh or LeFleur should be fired because they are not trying their best to win. A win last Sunday puts a completely different light on the rest of the season. Someone should be held accountable.
Saleh said it wasn't a punishment, but if it wasn't then I don't understand the logic.
If it was supposed to be a punishment, they should have just left him inactive for the game because he was largely a wasted roster spot. I'd have rather seen Streveller and some designed QB runs.

Did you skip the stat pack this week, in favor of thst fantastic ZW deep dive?
I'm wondering how each of OL did this past game. Seemed like they all struggled. No OL push in the running game, not even behind the pro bowl duo on the left side. Pressure seemed to come from everywhere. Did our new sub RT look like a turnstile in the all-22?
ZW can be blamed for some - I think you said about 19%, but who's struggling and to blame for the other 80%?
Hey Todd. I did, I've been a little short on time this week as had a hectic week at work, so I had to choose from and it felt as though the Zach piece was a little more pressing.
In terms of the pass protection the line weren't great. Here are the pressure numbers for each:
Duane Brown - 5 pressures
Cedric Ogbuehi - 5 pressures, 1 sack
Connor McGovern - 1 pressure
Laken Tomlinson - 1 pressure
Nate Herbig - 0 pressure.
Not overly surprising, but we have a tackle issue. I personally would prefer to see Remmers in there over Ogbuehi as historically he's been the better tackle. But for some reason, the team prefer Ogbuehi. Hopefully neither have to play after the bye week if we get Mitchell and Fant back.
Zach is beginning to receive serious criticism, earlier this year I thought Defensive Coordinator Ulbrich was about to be fired, but magically Mike LaFleur has escaped criticism and the media’s wrath. Granted , he has had massive upheaval in the Offensive Line, but his overall play calling and handling of this offense is coming into question. In hindsight could the Jets have brought in a veteran coach, as a passing game coordinator , in charge of receivers/TE’s ? Mike needs some help.
With Davis showing some China Doll tendencies, it seems appropriate to accelerate Mims development with increased reps and running those Safety clearing GO routes. Davis is 11 million against the CAP in 2023. Wilson can also do some outside work , both Wilson & Denzel have good catch radius’s and can be successful with contested catches. EM belongs in the slot
Corey Davis has been great for the outside runs, and also good on deep throws. I'd love Mims to excel in these roles but it's early days. Hope he makes the most of his opportunity this week.
MLF has been mixed. He's by far the most creative play caller we've had in a while. Our OL struggled and the MLF offense requires a great OL to establish the run and give the QB time to get settled and located the open receiver.
ZW has been poor, missing throws, not seeing receivers that were schemes open, bailing out too early, not stepping up in the pocket, etc. He can improve this.

It's possible that Moore needed to be punished for his conduct detrimental to the team.
With that said, I was hoping that would end after the 1st half. The skillset we needed was available.

And again today. Moore got lots of exercise. Jeff Smith was targeted more often
