Good afternoon!
A few people have asked for an open thread at the weekend to discuss all things Jets on Saturday and Sunday.
I would write a newsletter every day, but that would require abandoning sleep…and I’m not there yet. But if you’re a casual browser of TJW, please hit that subscribe button.
My main job revolves around sports coverage, so the weekends are packed…but I do get to work the NFL coverage tomorrow, so there are a lot of perks.
So if you’ve got some good links, some good thoughts or just want to chat…then feel free to use the comments below.
These will of course be open for everyone.
Here is the final injury report ahead of the game on Sunday. Brown, Equavoen, Surratt, Turner and Yeboah have all been ruled out. Will McDonald and Garrett Wilson are questionable, but they’re likely to play.
While we’re talking about Garrett, he confirmed that his elbow injury impacted the trick play throw to Lazard which was off-target.
I’m still not sure why you call a throwing play for a receiver who has just been out of the game with an elbow injury…but then that’s why I’m not a coordinator in the NFL.
"He has a fastball. Whenever a player has a fastball, he's worth exploring."
Robert Saleh on the potential of signing Chosen Anderson…I mean having a deep threat is pointless when the opponent knows you can’t protect a 5-7 step drop.
Have a great weekend everyone. Let’s hope we walk out of Buffalo with that little thing I like to call “hope”…if not, Monday’s newsletter will probably be a little depressing. Although if the last few weeks have been anything to go by, I may just copy and paste last week's newsletter.
hey David, Steve & TJW!!
tx for the Vibes weekend thread, David - always great to come in with a timely post that shows up after hours, so to speak...
I did this last night on the Becton thread from yesterday, but it's better posted here (since i first saw it at 2AM EST). An excellent JetsXFactor analysis of Becton:

Can't explain why I am so disappointed with this season's production/record.
After all - the defense is superb; the Special Teams (with 1 or 2 exceptions) are superb! What was I expecting from the offense led be ZW?
If I had been told AR would go down as he did I would not have thought we would have the record we do. Any honest fan knows it is in spite of ZW - but that's just the way it is this season.
I guess what underlies my depression is that I Know ZW is not going to be our QB of the future. I know AR is not going to be our QB of the future. I just don't know who will. None of us do.
The Jets have not hit the bullseye when it comes to QB's....almost ever. I think that's what unsettles me.
