It also wasn't just the lead that limited targets. Conditions were sloppy - wet ball. And ZW is gradually getting back in the flow. That adds up to less throws.

I do think MLF should scheme up touches, mix him into the slot more often, and take advantage of his elusive route running.

The kid definitely seems to have a legitimate grip, but the way he's voicing his frustration is the real issue. As you say, MLF could design more plays to get him the ball in space. Beyond Moore, the team needs to maximize ALL of its weapons to be a real contender. Hopefully Saleh, MLF, and Moore can get this sorted out behind closed doors.

Wow, I'm beginning to want less of Moore!

Selfish, that’s it…as Alex Ferguson once said (and I’m paraphrasing) once a player thinks he’s bigger than the team, get rid…for a player constantly telling us how god has a plan for him it’s amazing how quickly he decided he didn’t like the plan when the snaps/targets drop off…here’s hoping Denzel makes the most of his opportunity…

Well said - thought you might support him especially with all that French wine in you lol

Very well said David.

The frustration is understandable, the manifestation of it is unacceptable. Moore's friend AJ Brown tweeting #freeElijah is an embarrassment. WR diva stereotype exhibit A.

I too hope that Saleh, LaFleur and Moore can sort this out, but I fear that trust and respect from teammates is another matter. We own his rights, if he can't get his act together sit him....for years.

I hope Mims kicks ass

I'm intrigued by Mims in the lineup. He has the body for contested catches, more so than Moore

Mims vs the top pass defense in the NFL is a tough draw for his 1st game back, but a few deep targets might stretch safeties deeper, stressing linebackers against the run and short middle of the field passes

Using Moore for go routes seem like a waste. I guess it's a field stretcher,

My first instinct is to be on Moore's side; he does not seem to get enough targets and for all this is a team sport and winning trumps everything, NFL careers are short and the brother won't be getting paid if the stats aren't hefty. That said, I haven't reviewed film to see whether his routes are being run lazily, like you suggested might be the case.

Gardner's (sub)tweet is interesting, but without being there it's hard to say how fair it is for him to say that. Beyond scrimmages, how much time would these position groups be spending with each other?

Do you have stats for where Moore is lining up on average? It seems to me like he is rarely in the slot and that's exactly where he should be with his body type, but I'm not counting so I might be wrong.

I didn't think it would be this close between Liz Truss and him leaving their roles, that's for sure...

Thanks for writing another "spot on" article and while on vacation! You are Moore of a team player than Elijah!

We have another thoroughbred horse at the gate waiting to bust out. I would not be surprised if Mims has a big game. The Broncos will cover CD and GW with their best DBs. Mimsy might be open a few times.

Opens the door for Denzel, showcased before the trading deadline. Actually Mims could be a better fit as an outside WR, better blocker, bigger threat on deep routes. Jets handled this EM correctly.

Great article by David and great comments. I think he is being misused, but totally went about it the wrong way. I'm very excited for Mims.
