Kudos to LaFluer and the Jet coaches commitment to the Run, it wasn’t always pretty, Jets stuffed for zero to one yard gains, but they kept at it. Many teams and certainly fans would have abandoned running the ball, but eventually the Jets started gashing the Phins, the running game flourished, set up the passing game. Zach had a successful second game back, came out healthy. 37 year old Duane Brown took every Offensive snap, seems to have decent chemistry with Tomlinson, Jets are running Left all day long. Swapped two third round picks to move up to draft AVT, in hindsight cheap, great day for the new Right Tackle. Herbig, credible second game at Right Guard . Coaching staff made it happen, very bold moves, got it done. Complimentary folks in the run game, TE’s & WR’s blocked well, Berrios & Zach for the score.

Yes! So excited

Only 2 sacks, but JFM had 5 QB hits, tying our team record, and Lawson had 7 in the same game, per Nania

We assumed advantages against their weak secondary - were we getting open? I was waiting to see Elijah and Garrett dominate the Fins CB's but didn't see it. Would love to learn what you see on all-22.

Was some of our runs vs an 8 man box?

I was actually surprised that we didn't call more play action after we were so successful with the run.

So excited to see the run game get going. How'd Duane Brown do in his debut? Did Tomlinson get on track? We seemed to have more success running the ball on the left side, so maybe that means the pro bowl vets played well together. AVT is so impressive - how'd he do at RT? Looking forward to seeing the stat pack tomorrow

Came here first to avoid all things Mets. Enjoyable recap. I give them credit for 3 sacks because intentional grounding should count as a sack in my book.

Plenty to work on but so much more fun to watch than anything in years. 2021/2022 draft classes are quite promising.

The success of the run game was kind of sneaky....it definitely did not look great at times.

As some pitchers set up the slider or change-up w/ the fast ball, many teams set up the pass w/ the run.

I think w/ Zach being young (age and games played) teams are stacking the box to start a game. I think in that case LaFleur needs to use the pass to set up the run. More first and second down passes may be necessary.

As a long-time Jets fan, I definitely felt very uncomfortable when the Fins got to w/in 19-17. Their O-Line at RT and RG were among the lowest graded in the league, then their LT got injures, yet we still gave up big yds on the ground. Their secondary was decimated too and we didn't take advantage.

I'm not raining on the parade and I love where we are, but yesterday was scary until the fourth qtr.

Gotta love the win. Obviously the Dolphins were hurt going into the game minus Tua! Then Teddy? Tough break . But we had to play our first three games with our backup so alls fair in love and war.😂 Looking forward to the game stats tomorrow. Curious to see how AVT did. I love MC promoting him for Pro Bowl recognition but I think his unselfish willingness to move around from position to position may end up hurting his chances. Of course the biggest question will be his numbers? How does he compare to the top guys at his position? And of course, what position should he be considered for?

We won so the counting stats don't matter, but Elijah Moore has been trending down in catches (5,3,4,3,1) and had just 1 catch yesterday. Should MLF scheme him open more often?

Can you share stats on formations? Were we running in 2 TE sets or spreading out? Looked like both TE had more snaps

What a game !!! Due to it being live on Sky (spit) and so blacked out on Game Pass I didn’t think I’d get to see it live but a mate suggested a (less than legal I’m sure) streaming site and I did see it live. Glad I did as I don’t think it would have had the same impact watching 24hrs later.

Sauce was a man on a mission in that 1stQ, anyone who still thinks we shouldn’t have taken a CB that high can go off to the sunset whistling Dixie for all I care…I was screaming for Breece to take that 79 yarder 1 more yard…all 3 phases played great, yes there’s room to 8mprove in all 3 but you can see it coming together…and why oh why wasn’t AVT allowed to play Centre on that V-formation snap to complete the set along the O-Line (I’d be delighted for someone to tell me he did actually).

I haven’t been this excited about a Jets team in a long, long time. The games up to the bye week now don’t look quite so scary. Hold tight as there’s bound to be some bumps along the way but man it looks like it’ll be great to watch…
