Jets played a great game. It really was fun to watch them play smash mouth football on the winning drive. Thanks for sharing the fab stat pac. Would be surprised if they sign Linval as we have the DL depth to hold us over while Rankin heals.

Thanks Larry. I'm with you, I absolutely loved that last drive, did remind me of the early Rex Ryan days and those days were pretty good ones as a Jets fan. Actually a lot of similarities between those teams and the 2022 Jets.

First , a word about Rankins. I can’t remember a time when there were so many elbow / tricep injuries ? What’s up with that ? Rankins was having a good season , very successful pairing with “Q”, the blessing of this injury , could be that Sheldon becomes a little more resignable for 2023. Speaking of resigning players, how is JD going to re-sign Nate Herbig. A few years ago , I got to see Linval Joseph at Giant Camp, the man is huge, and so very long, a giant among men, very impressive. But he is a free agent for a reason, would like to see Practice Squaders, Tanzel Smart or Jonathan Marshall get an opportunity.

That's a bit of a mystery for me, probably just a little bad luck...similar to last year with Achilles.

Good news is that we do have some options as we can play the likes of JFM and Clemons inside to rotate with Q and Thomas. I thought Smart looked sharp in the pre-season so I'd like to see him given some run and not sure how Jonathan Marshall is getting on, he didn't look overly impressive last year or this pre-season, but he's still young and developing.

More Clemons is just exciting

In regards to replacing Rankins; I think we call up Smart and also play JFM inside on a small number of plays and he gets all reps of 3rd and 4+ yds. JJ should get the bulk of LDE early downs and 3rd and less than 4 yds to go, else Huff.

Clemons spelling Lawson seems to be set and I don't see Clemons going inside.

We have two weeks to prep for the Dark Lord. We need to limit Stevenson in the run and pass game, he's really their most dangerous player.
