I agree w/ your points and analysis on Saleh and the statement.

I am in the same camp, was very happy w/ his hiring and continue to give him the benefit of the doubt. He has definitely struggled w/ the transition from coordinator to HC. I hope that he knows his shortcomings and learns from them. It's worse to think that he might be the guy who "doesn't know what he doesn't know". It is undeniable that players wanted to come to Florham Park b/c of him (and Joe D), but if they don't show progress that attraction will fade (even w/ current players).

I would prefer that he shut up and make his players accountable internally. A few days ago Rivka wrote about this topic and said that she didn't think Parcells' approach would work w/ today's players, but Bill was far more subtle at pushing buttons then most think. Saleh needs to learn to get the most out of his players, shirts and slogans aren't enough.

I agree with everything there, I think there are a load of different styles that work today...but coaches need to be more adaptable to ensure that they can talk to different players in different ways depending on what works with any given player. I just don't want him to lose that fire that got everyone so excited about the hire. I don't want that fire to show in press conferences but on the sideline. Sunday is a big game for everyone.

Good one on Marvin Jones - that was a deep nugget. I'm now ok with with Saleh said and might have done the same in my younger days. What happens though is you end up getting buned cause they never get good. You have any intel on Woody Johnson thinking of selling the team (was on twitter yesterday Mike Francesca and Mr. T.). Lease is up in 2025 for the Jets at MetLife (gees glad i bought a PSL)

Hey Steve. I did ask about the Woody Johnson thing and couldn't get anything concrete in response, seems to be a bit more speculative in terms of the PSL and running out in 2025. Nobody I spoke to had heard any serious conversations about it.
