Hit on all the things i thought of that cost us the game. First time in my life after 2 losses in a row not bummed out. We played very good. However, and im going to be more critical here - i am sick of the F-IN injuires on the Jets. Even when we are good they still get hurt. Can blame Douglas for 4 years in a row getting O-linmen who get hurt are go the curse route but it doesnt end. LeFluer had no business calling carter's number there - they guy was stone cold when Bam was hot. Berrios can not be a option either as a WR or a Kickoff specialist. What i'm saying the coaching has to take some blame here. Mosely does not get fogiven for that play that turned the game as bad a roughing the QB by JFM.

MW has won the job the rest of the season. Jets however are still learning how to win. Q going down, two second unit fumbles and CJ’s brain freeze moment cost us the game. Did not help that the OL nearly got MW killed.

I reemember that piece - was in the back of my mind when i commented. Also - in agreement seems like it is worse then before that departmnet. A hard look needs to be done after seaon by the powers that be on 1JD - Thanks for sending.

One last point, Strevler did win a Grey Cup, so it’s not like he’s a rookie. I know most CFL players don’t make it in the NFL, a few have Joe Kapp, Warren Moon as an example. Would have to be better than Zach at this point of White is out.

David, had to be a rough weekend in your house. England losing, Jets losing and of course that imaginary noise of someone bouncing on the furniture.

A few points, I don’t think Zach sees the field the rest of the season.

Hey Flacco, thanks for the Cleveland game but it’s time to say goodbye.

If that happens, I would prefer Strevler as backup over Zach. That’s strictly a locker room decision, I don’t think Zach new sideline job has helped his fundamentals plus you can’t say that his NO still doesn’t resonates in the locker room. Offensive players wearing White tee shirts speak volumes.

Carter performance has certainly been down but it seems the Jets have gotten out of using him together with another running back. He surely was effective in the first Buffalo game as a tandem with Robinson.

I’m still don’t understand LeFleurs play calling at time. Carter up the middle, no running back screens ever. Tried one yesterday, Buffalo sniffed it out, then no more. Had to stop that rush, some how.

I whole-heartedly agree with you about Flaccid & Streveler. I don't understand why the Jets don't give him a chance. He played great in the preseason and in the CFL.

LaFleur is also infuriating in some of his play-calling. Everybody watching knows when he calls for a run up the middle, too predictable. How about passing on 1st down for a change to set up the run later? The key is to keep their defense guessing on what you're going to do.

The refs in the 2nd half in Buffalo had a lot to do with that Bills victory. No roughing the passer calls, no call for a clearly out of bounds hit, holding on Huff, this is just plain ridiculous. I think the NFL should look into these refs to see if there is any apparent monetary (sports betting) and home team bias there.

David- I like your take on the "state of the team".

We all must remember that most analysts had us winning 5/6 games this year (including the Vegas oddsmakers). I think most optimistic Jets fans hoped for 7/8 wins. We are def ahead of schedule.

If our D can shutdown the Lions we can def score against them, the Jags are improved but we should get that game, the Seahawks and Geno look to be sliding, and the Dolphins did not look great last night either.

As we sit now I think we have very few places that need improvement: safeties (yes, plural), LB and OL.

It would be nice to get a true over the top of the defense speedster too. FA and the draft should make this achievable, even given financial considerations.

Not sure what hurt worse this weekend... the Flacco/Carter fumbles or Harry Kane’s missed PK.

Anyway, if the Chargers beat Tennessee next week, I don’t think the Jets are in the playoffs.
