Can only surmise that he was the best player on their Big Board. JD was taught long ago that when it comes to roster development today’s luxury might be tomorrow’s necessity but I also think TE is a hard position to learn ( and coach) so having 2 developing TEs around at the same time as 2 veteran studs isn’t the worst thing in the world given their offensive tendencies.

This Offense is still evolving, changing from week to week. The quick acquisition of RB Robinson was an indicator that JD believed that this team has a chance this year, if we we beat the Patriots in Gillette, Jet fans optimism will be off the charts. But those Dolphins look tough.

Big Uzomah supporter here, his contract is not that bad , compare to Shultz down is Dallas. Once again this Offense is changing from week to week, but CJ demonstrated his ability as a a run blocker on the final Buffalo drive, and some potential as a receiver on TE screens, as with Ruckert, Patience is required. In Further Jet TE drama, Wesco is doing okay in Chicago and Lawrence Cager is carving out a role with the Giants. Big week for Kenny Yeboah, he is out of PS promotions, the Jets are either going to place him on the 53 or cut him. Kenny has had only a couple of Offensive reps, but has been an excellent contributor on Special Teams. Finally , Ruckert’s foot injury set him back more than anticipated, sometimes foot injuries are underestimated, it’s all about patience. Jets got great value in Ruckert, but on the 2022 draft , there were great values in the second half of the third round , and first half of the fourth round ( Max Mitchell & Michael Clemons)
