"I think his game against Buffalo was overstated." Let's see, the dude does everything he's asked a week after the Pats disaster, has a 72% completion rate, stays poised in the pocket, hits the clutch throws... but, it's overstated. I have been a Jet fan for 40 years, and I have never seen a QB have to put up with the kind of B.S. this kid does.

If josh Allen can get absolutely shredded after 2 bad games then it is ok to be critical of Zach. This is a QB league and the successful ones usually show they are capable of winning games by year 2 if not year 1. See Justin Herbert. The josh Allen trajectory is the exception not the rule. Josh is a big body cam newton type with his dual threat ability. I don’t want to be overly critical of Zach either but he has shown me nothing so far that tells me he could be one of the upper level QBs. Right now I think the best comparison for him is Jimmy garapolo, a game manager who can win you some games but won’t get you over the top.

I'm not being critical of Zach here, I'm being critical of the coverage that game received. I've seen numerous articles about how good it was, it was mistake free which is good, but that game is no better than your average QB. It's improvement and it's progress and I love that, but to bury your head in the sand and pretend that game showed he's a franchise QB which is what some have done, makes no sense to me. Anyone who's read TJW for any length of time will know that I try and stay as fair as possible.

That’s the problem with this season. While it’s great that the team is winning and I’m as happy as any jets fan. I think we should temper our expectation that growth will be linear. In my opinion, this season should be to find out what we have in ZW and determine if he’s a franchise QB. To baby him and make him just a game manager will stunt the team growth in the future. You can’t win consistently in this league without a franchise QB and as much as I love this team, it reminds me of the 2017 jaguars with Blake bottles and a great defense. They almost made the afc championship game but everything fell apart after that because Blake bottles was not the franchise QB

Well, when you play as poorly as he has I think that’s more often than not gonna be what you get. Obviously your in the small victories group. And that’s fine. But there are Jet fans with higher aspirations. Higher bars. I guess I’m in that group. The Zackaholic’s commonly refer to two key things to make their arguments; #1-Zack didn’t throw an interception! Hmmm, but then isn’t that the goal? Or the 2nd we are 5-1 under Zack! OK, so the defense had nothing to do with that. Breece Hall is injured now but prior to that he was 70% of the offense while Zack was throwing for 100 yards 2 weeks in a row, The Wilson doubters feel that while the record is good it’s pretty much been accomplished in spite of Wilson. Not because of him. He’s been a passenger on the bus. Not the driver.

Your statement on 11/15 is so true and look what happened!

You're spot on!

Well said. ZW's progress is heading up and fans need to be patient. It must be extremely difficult to play the position of QB. I just don't want to see those bonehead throws into quadruple coverage.......

Huge game for the coaches, Bill out coached them last time. It’s a pivotal divisional game, and the team is coming off of a bye. Coaching Challenges. Jets apparently are ranked lower in the waiver wire claim order. DT Tillary would have been nice, good fit ?, but are the Jets currently doing reclamation projects ? Not as much

well said on Moore - the story is now stale. If dont win another game this year we HAVE to beat the Patriots ! That's 3 division wins, a win in Spetember and in the conversation in Decemeber - the rest is all gravy -playing with house money. This year was to be "do we have a QB or not ?"
