It’s fair to say that the Scrubeenie WR ‘s haven’t developed with the Jets, it needs to be addressed, you can’t rely on FA as a source to fix this WR problem. Reported that this is a tough Offensive System for WR’s, this is the second year in LaFleur’s system. Mims, could be the solution, has all the measurables, but he has not developed. Jeff Smith, DJ Montgomery, Tariq Black do not give us a whole lot of hope. Advocate the addition of a Senior Coach that focuses on WR development, as a Passing Game Coordinator.
Could be draft Smoke but is Thibs a cultural fit for the Jets ? Don’t know, the only reason to pass..a Walker could have a higher ceiling but not impressed with his work at Georgia, but unbelievable Combine, Travon made some money. Fantasy, but Thibs at 4 with Walker at 10 is outstanding. Love both trades, points out that Philadelphia with picks 15, 16 & 19 is a prime trading partner. Trading up into the first round from 35 has potential. 35 & 69 THEORETICALLY, can get you up as high as 22, possible solution at WR.
I like the Walker pick. No way Gardner lasts that long. Olave does not block, AT ALL, so I would cross him off of the list.
