After signing Uzomah & Conklin, on a team with a plethora of holes, it seemed a little odd that the Jets would draft a TE. But the draft is about fit, upside, and overall potential, and Jeremy seems to have it. Ruckert, May have slid a half round in the draft, because of a foot injury Ruckert sustained during the Senior Bowl. Very wary, about foot injuries, but the Jets have already signed him, so it’s not a big deal. The foot injury , may have helped the Jets. In order to trade back up into the first round to obtain JJ, the Jets gave up a fifth round pick and swapped third round picks.. That third round swap was significant, the Jets sent 69 to the Titans, and got 101 in exchange, lost 32 spots in a premiere round. But some would argue that Ruckert was a second round value. I would have chosen Ruckert at 69 in a heartbeat, In a couple of years Ruckert could be deemed the best value pick in this draft. Jets got a very good player.

Great read man... I was just happy as all hell to see his families reaction to the call, especially his dad's...he was screaming so loud he was turning purple... Thanks for all you do and when I get paid Friday I'll buy you a coffee or three man... You're probably one of the best Jet writers online...
