Last week lost 11 players in cutdown to other NFL rosters, three of which , Dunn, Wildgoose & Pinnock were DB’s. Watch for the Jets to take on a developmental CB on to the PS. Lost a lot but we gained a Linebacker in Chazz Surratt, former third rounder, with a great upside for this Defense.
Very quietly this Linebacking Corp. has come a long way from being a major weakness to a solid group. CJ Mosley is in his second year in this Defense, and second year after a long hiatus. Quincy Williams is getting more consistent, and is beginning to live up to the Coaches hype. Kwon Alexander has exceeded all expectations, will flourish in this system. Sherwood looks fully recovered from an Achilles and has developed as a LB. Marcell Harris is just solid , a pretty decent group, didn’t see this in May of this year. Like the depth of linebackers in the Practice Squad, with DQ Thomas, Chazz Surratt & Nasrildeen, great developmental group.
