CD is off to a great start. Seems clear that the QBs do not trust the OL enough to look at/wait for vertical routes. Exception is the Browns TD when Davis was wide open.

No I think you're right there, shame because Zach got good protection in that first clip. In time and with consistency from the line he'll start to stay in the pocket more.

Corey lost 10- 12 pounds in the off season, in an attempt to get quicker and faster , seems to have worked. There is a number of Jets that have gone through body transformations this year. The Jets are in the middle of the pack in 2023 CAP Space, decisions will have to be made. Corey’s fate could be intertwined with the much cheaper Mims. But Davis’s comp at 11 million is pretty reasonable, compare crosstown WR Kenny Golliday. It seems that FA WR market, is 15- 18 for a starting WR, therefore Corey is a bargain. Davis or Mims could be on the move at the trading deadline. As a fan, believe that it would take significant draft capital to pry Corey away from the Jets.

Absolutely. Agree with all of that JO. Corey certainly looks quicker, he's certainly more explosive off the line as we can see in that first clip. I'm not sure what the plan is for Mims, at the moment it looks as though he is purely there just in case Davis gets injured, so his trade value is dropping every week at the moment. I'm keen to keep Davis around, we have a young core of receivers with Wilson and Moore and despite his struggles last year, I've never heard a bad word said about Davis's practice habits.

There is a synergy that is created when you have 3 good WR’s . Defenses have to make coverage decisions, so one week Wilson gets fed, next it’s Elijah , then it’s Corey. This is a run first team, Corey’s blocking is invaluable with this wide zone blocking scheme. Corey & the TE’s gives Zach an array of Red Zone Targets. Once the running game and Offensive line gets settled, you will see an increased number of deep shots, Corey could be a big part of this.

With plenty of pass catching options, Davis just needs to find seams and make 1st downs.

Zach certainly has an element of trust in Davis. He often looks his way on key downs like the 4th down conversion Sunday.
