You could not possibly expect Becton to play 17 games so if your not planning to draft a tackle early then you have to sign one or two tackles in FA . I don't know if its arrogance or deciding to save $ somewhere, but with all the money we spent on WR, TE and RB goes out the window if we can't block. Moving our rookie guard, moving our RT to LT and now this. And they haven't played together more then a few snaps. Its always something with this team to fuck up a good plan. We are screwed, this line even of Brown comes back soon is not going to be ready to run the ball. That takes time and were are a running team. I am glad Zac is out, let Flaco and White get killed. Living in the Jet bubble all off season I had such hope for this season (8-9 wins) but now I understand what everyone else has been saying all off season looking at our schedule and our team. Were gonna start 0-5 and its gonna be the same shit. Well, I hope Zac comes back and looks good by the end of the season so were only looking for a new head coach, not a QB. Sorry for such negativity but I am a 63 year old ex 37 year season ticket holder that seen a lot more then you so trust me, if it can go wrong, its will go wrong with this team. I'm a big supporter of Joe D, but he totally blew it on this one.
I'm not going to second guess the draft (I never wanted Becton...another story).
Knowing Becton's fragility and the lack of talent in the rest of the room Joe had to be
active in FA. I hope Mitchell turns into another D'Brick, but he's not now. Unacceptable situation.
FYI, I am 59, grew up a season ticket holder in Joe Willie's down years at Shea. Now raising a son
who bleeds green out here in Oregon.
