Great stuff here. Mims did everything you could ask from a player coming off a rough season. Have not lost faith in him or Becton. Irv Charles could be a steal
Absolutely. Some players just take off instantly, some take a little seasoning. I can't wait to see both Mims and Becton on the field in training camp, so much potential there.
Charles, Mims & Davis are the only WR’s 6’3 or a tad above. Davis is out of guaranteed money in 2023, decision time. The Practice Squad is a great step for Charles. Mims , a Baylor WR with a limited route tree, gets food poisoning loses 20 pounds , than gets hit with Covid, trying to learn a new offense, that has precise timing routes, not a recipe for success.Denzel is doing the hard work, getting in great shape, promotes confidence, which is exactly what this man needs. He has to show something in TC, getting deep buys Denzel time, and Mims can be a great deep threat. Mims floor this year is 35 catches for 400 yards, if he is on that track in late October he will be with the Jets for his fourth year.
Yeah the Jets could certainly move on from Davis next year, although it'll be interesting to see how he performs in 2022 knowing that, he had a few drops last year but his career numbers would indicate that was an outlier and they should return to the mean.
Agree on Mims, as long as he stays healthy this will be his first uninterrupted off-season and that counts for something. There is absolutely no pressure on him as at best he's WR5 this year, so he can relax a little bit. The way he's turned up to OTA's shows he means business and I'm not going to bet against him.
Great stuff here. Love Mims reaction to a rough season in getting himself in tremendous shape and hiring a top Wr trainer. Cant ask for much more. Charles as a pipeline player could be a steal
Great article, David. I'm excited about Mims. The Jets lack of depth hurt so much last season.. I'll take him being a 5th receiver making contributions to the offense. Nice profile on Charles.

Mims may be a WR5 starting out but he won't be there long
No way we're picking 3rd next year, so forget about Will Anderson.
