The Jets won in the rain because of punter Thomas Morested and kicker Greg Zuerlein, with assists from long snapper Thomas Hennessy. As always an incredible slow start, putrid Offense, two Zach fumbles enduring 4 sacks, and a mistake prone defense. You don’t win with that formula. One catch for 19 yards to Uzomah, that was it for the TE’s, strange.Uzomah showed good YAC with that catch. I like Lazard , but I’m not sure he is a quality number two, 3 Catches for 45 is not bad in the rain, but the lack of separation, and the drops are frustrating. I’m doing a 180, I’m now on the Renfro train, hopefully to kickstart this Offense by proving adequate slot play. Finally I was a huge Malik Taylor fan in August, relegated to the Practice Squad, but yesterday got the PI, that one the game. That Pass Interference was caused by good separation, and the confidence built with Zach over the summer.

Uzomah did have the key block on the Breece Hall TD. Personally I want to see more of Ruckert but I have to give him props when he does well. The pass to Malek Taylor was poorly under thrown. If he (Zack) throws it on target it’s game over. This was possibly the worst Jet win ever with all the injuries, poor QB play for the first 59 minutes I can recall.

"... pass to... Taylor was poorly underthrown ..." - and if that DB would have turned around, it would have been an interception as that ball would have landed right in his basket. Talk about the football gods having themselves a good laugh on that one.

But a light of hope, Ron, in all this. It seems the gods laughter, at least for this one game, was directed towards the jints instead of us.

So sometimes it's better to be lucky than to be good...

Regarding CJ Uzomah.....Hell yes! I love the TEs on this team.

To be honest, I wrote this last night.

So much happened yesterday. I was sure David would include on today’s Jet Way some of my thoughts.

As Jet fans, we have seen yesterday’s game, many times over the years. The one exception this time, is that they won.

Hackett does a self assessment of the offense last week. He says we sucked on third down. We sucked in the red zone. After spending the bye week, fixing the problems. Lo and behold, he fixed nothing. They still sucked. They didn’t convert a third down until 59minutes had been play.

First drive, quarter 1,

12 yard pass to Hall

5 yard run by Hall

Second and 5, EMPTY BACKFIELD, Giants send the house, Zach pressured ruled incomplete

3rd down, house again, Zach fumble. He helped the Giants set the tone of the game with the empty backfield nonsense.

There was another third and one, again he called empty backfield. Another rushed incomplete pass.

I know it will never happen but I think the Jets would be better off if someone else was calling the plays. Let Rodgers do it, I’m sure he would do a better job. Hackett is quickly surpassing his father as the worst Jet OC named Hackett in Jet history.

It’s kind of tough to criticize the D considering they gave up -9 yards passing but considering the situation and the time of the game, Cleamons off side has to be the dumbest and worst offside in Jet history.

As crazy as it sounds, it would appear that once Taylor got hurt, the D stopped playing. They gave up 203 yards rushing and one td. They also made dumb penalties that helped assist the Giants. Their only saving grace was that Gano was missing chip shot field goals.

Had to be one of the strangest games in Jet history. It touched every emotion. It was a tutorial on how NOT to play football. It was ugly to watch. But after all is said and done, they won the game. And the Cherry that was put on top of the sundae, it came at the Giants expense.

To show the absurdity of it all, Saquon Barkley’s dad was wearing full on Jets gear as they walked out of the stadium together.

Barkley grew up a Jets fan.

This is wild to me. You'd think he'd pull for his son yesterday. #Jets green runs deep in the Barkley family, though.

Some more absurdity,

Minus-9 pass yards are the fewest the Jets have allowed in a game in franchise history.

The Jets went 3/12, 2/11, and then 2/15 on third downs in three straight games and went 3-0

The Giants' win probability was 97.9% with 1:26 remaining, according to ESPN Analytics. SO MUCH FOR ANALYTICS

Robert Saleh on beating the Giants and what it means for Woody Johnson: “To say you’re King of New York is pretty cool.”NONSENSE, WHO REALLY CARES

Zach Wilson is the 1st QB since 2000 to win a game with multiple 25+ yard completions within the final 30 seconds of the 4th qtr.

With a banged up offensive line, the empty sets were driving me insane. At that point you absolutely had to help the line as they found their footing, but instead we left them in isolation with no help and surprise surprise...look what happened. This is what I mean about the Aaron Rodgers thing, his timing is impeccable and he gets rid of the ball better than most, Zach had some big time throws yesterday but his timing and internal clock is a huge problem, those empty sets were helping nobody.

I think the time has come for someone in the Jet organization has to tell Hackett, he is not calling plays anymore. He is proving every game that 1) he is calling plays as if Rodgers is still playing quarterback for him and 2) that without Rodgers as quarterback, using his terminology, he sucks as a play caller. You want to compare Hackett to someone, try that so-called great OC, Josh McDaniels who without Brady, pardon my French, also sucks as a play caller.

If Hackett is really honest with himself and looks in the mirror, he would, as David suggested, turn play calling duties over to Downing.

If this travesty of incompetence continues than either Saleh or JD should force the change. One thing, Woody is very motivated about wether it’s right or wrong to hastily push mandates because of things written on social media. This is one time his interference would be welcomed. Unfortunately the elephant in the room would probably be the reason that the move isn’t made.

This coaching has refused to bench Cobb. Another player with big ties to Rodgers. An injury had him inactive. His replacement in yesterday’s game had a key defensive pass interference play called against him that set up the winning field goal. We will never know if that happens with Cobb in the game. But we do know it happened because Cobb wasn’t in the game.

The Jets organization refusal to do what’s right because it doesn’t want to offend Rodgers has to stop..

There are some changes that need to be made, the organization has to stop walking on eggshells.

Well, I think we can all agree this may have been no worse that a top 3 ugliest Jet win ever. So much for self scouting over the bye because I saw nothing but the same old ineffective play calling yesterday. And the only thing worse than the play calling was the execution. Zach was god awful yesterday for 59 minutes. Zero pocket presence. Holding onto the football way to long. Not throwing it away taking sacks. Throwing the ball into the turf on short passes again, throwing behind the receivers. The accuracy brought me back to his first two seasons. Honestly I found it amazing that as bad as he was all day he some how managed to pull a rabbit out of his hat on that drive with 24 seconds left. But as been mentioned here those heroics are not sustainable! We are not gonna win a lot of football games going forward playing down to that level. As for the defense the Giants had no passing game. Obviously the QB situation was a huge problem for them. But yet with us knowing that we allowed 200+ yards? Out tackling was horrendous. Can’t wait to see the missed tackle numbers. We all talk here about not being able to run against 7 or 8 man fronts. Well, the Giants had no problem doing it against us and I’m amazed with all the talk of our injuries that no one has mentioned the Giant O- line situation? Their LT ( Pugh) has been selling insurance the last two seasons. Came out of retirement because he loves the organization. Their center was playing his first game game in a month coming off a shoulder injury. They were playing backups at both Guard spots and their RT has been labeled a bust. Yes a win is a win but this kind of football is just unacceptable. Honestly I don’t feel like we won anything yesterday.

Saquon Barkley rushes for 128 yards with no threat of the pass, please. The Jets are vulnerable to big backs up the gut. Tyrod goes down , when you run your Quarterback they are going to get hurt. Zach 4 sacks, ran the ball for 25 yards, can’t see him lasting a 17 game season

Expand full comment

I think some of the gashing they took from Saquon could have something to do with a combination of different factors. I think that this defense will always be uniquely vulnerable to a team that bangs the A gaps. It certainly feels like the way they deploy their defensive line (penetrating upfield as much as possible) can leave them open to that specific attack. I imagine that's why the play of Quincy Williams and CJ Mosley is so important. The other part of the game that probably led to that has to do with the boneheaded penalties (extending drives and resulting in a more tired unit on the field). Add in Al Woods, who is probably the second best defensive tackle of the bunch, going down and you had a recipe for the Saquon Show to debut. That second half really seemed to give the Giants not named DeVito momentum. The missed tackles were still unacceptable, but there is plenty of that that is correctable.

You couldn't be more wrong about Zach being God-awful on Sunday. Read the Michael Nania article that CG posted the link to on Tuesday where he takes an in-depth look at how Zach played. Zach was not the problem on Sunday. It was the OL, all the dropped passes, and Hackett.

100% agree. Hackett & McDaniels comment is so true. Not sure what Downing could do, but since this Offense has shown epic incompetence, giving Downing a try seems to the right thing to do. Wink CRUSHED Hackett. We need a change in the slot, Cobb to the bench, get Gipson into the passing game, accelerate that process. Banging the drum like always for Lazard in the slot with plenty of motion to give him separation. Looking to acquire Renfro to man the slot. This offense is unacceptable.

We will never know but is this organization staying the course with Hackett and Cobb because of their relationships with Rodgers. If that is the case, you could call the whole situation organizational malpractice.

Rodgers has been great for the franchise. He essentially gave the Jets 45 million. Wonderful. But the acquisition of Cook and these Packer retreads were not great decisions ( holding out hope for Lazard). Why all of the Cobb mentions? Dude didn't even play yesterday.

You are missing the point. This play calling comes from Saleh. He strongly believes his D can win each game if the O has no turnovers. He has the O playing scared. Giants played man entire game. How do you not take shots downfield against that? Coaching malpractice. When Zach had to throw downfield and they knew he was, look what he did! Take the handcuffs off and let the kid play! All Gas, No Brakes? Are you kidding me? That is only for Saleh’s D. He owns this plain and simple.

Expand full comment

Correct by Ron. Saleh isn't in the OC's ear telling them to be conservative or anything like that. Honestly, I got the impression they tried opening up the playbook for Zach Wilson, a bit, by going spread more often in situations that the Giants wouldn't have expected it. Some of the bad performance is on Zach still needing to improve his processing (which does seem to be improving, if not as fast as we'd all like), some of it is on how the offensive line working new starters into the unit and being forced to go against Dexter Lawrence (although Thibodeaux going full LT on Becton and Mitchell didn't help matters), and an equal portion is on Hackett for not making the right in-game adjustments (what those adjustments were, I'm not sure). Hackett does seem to be trying to empower Zach, but they haven't found a groove yet. Fingers crossed, because every so often the offense looks good.

Hmmmm, I’m seeing no evidence of RS being heavily involved with the offense. From everything I have seen from the Jets site,SNY and the other media sources it appears the offense is all left up to Hackett. Congratulations fellow Jets fans, we won the Putrid Bowl. It is awarded to the team with the most vile offensive play calling, offensive execution, quarterback play and penalty ridden play. As Putrid Bowl winners, Jet fans are consigned to watch replays of this game prior to all subsequent games this season! We are blessed!!

Unfortunately such inept play does not augur well concerning a playoff spot. Certainly you cannot rely on winning a game like this with virtually any other team! Serious changes are necessary on the offensive side from game plan to personnel.

hey David!

yeah, I couldn't figure out the empty seats, either. Thought it was the Jets fans pissed at the skunk stink coming from the field, but as the game wore on, especially in those last moments in the 4th when they impossibly tied the game, then in the OT with the win, the crowd cheering tells me it was about a 40% Jets Crowd. So it must have been the Giants fans that were leaving - since that stadium was booming when the Giants were making all those defensive plays..

And yes, Zach showed some serious 'nards on those last two drives - but he's still staring down his receivers. And why oh why was there almost no use of Conklin or Ruckert in the passing game, and since the Giants were keying on Hall all game, I didn't see much play action.

But man, that line has me beyond worried. If JD doesn't try to fix that NOW, I fear for the season being down the tubes again, like last year.

The "I told you so" draft shudda/coulda department: Don't pick MacDonald, trade down and get Anton Harrison for OT. If you think of it; AVT suffered injuries while playing RT, not while playing RG. So I'd say, don't let AVT near the Tackle spot ever again.

Though Will did make a nice play on that FG attempt that Gano blew. Ah well... can't be undone now, can it?

PS: and David, yes i said seats, it's not a typo nor a misread of your comment on the empty sets - and the thing on that was, Hackett did it multiple times, even when the jints kept doing the same thing with bringing the house.

What's that definition of insanity, something about doing the same thing over and over again, yet expecting a different result?

Big step back for Hackett; I thought he was getting better at this stuff.

I, actually, think the empty sets show more faith in Zach Wilson. I think but for pressure arriving a bit earlier than they were expecting, coupled with shitty conditions and receivers not being able to get open quite as reliably, it all amounted to the shit-stew in which we all partook. There were just a lot of small conditional mistakes spread out among the entire offense that nearly sank the ship. The empty sets, though, don't concern me. That's a good sign. It means he isn't calling plays scared that Zach Wilson can't handle the pressure. Now, in this game, Zach didn't handle the pressure well very often, but he did make some plays despite running for his life.

Expand full comment

If the empty sets are a sign that Hackett has more confidence/trust in Zach, that's great, but he needs to be realistic about our OL, and especially playing a team like the Giants with two great pass rushers on their DL. I disagree that Zach didn't handle the pressure well in this game. Read the article by Michael Nania that CG posted the link to on Tuesday. I think you'll change your mind.

I think loading up with extra tight ends, the full back, and keeping the running back in would've been more detrimental than helpful. Not only does it result in fewer guys out on routes, it also feeds into Zach Wilson's worst impulses (to hold the ball longer while waiting for a concept to develop. There are, technically, two ways to combat heavy pressure. One of them is what most fans would think; keep more people in to block every man. Successful teams, however, will trust their quarterback to throw into the blitz. Good quarterbacks will get rid of the ball quickly because blitzing results in guys being uncovered. It, essentially, forces the Jets to do what Zach is best at (getting the ball out quickly and letting it rip).

Expand full comment

You didn't say anything about fullbacks or tight ends. I was making the assumption that harping on empty sets had something to do with wanting more guys in (that can include running backs, of course) to block. Unfortunately, keeping guys in to block doesn't always bring the expected result. Say you keep in a running back; that might provide one more guy to put a body on a body, but you're still expecting the quarterback to get the ball out quickly and to the hot read given the direction of the blitz. The idea to go empty, honestly, is going to give the quarterback more information to make that read quickly if the defense is going to send all out pressure.

I still think it's a fools errand to try and place blame on Robert Saleh or Nate Hackett or whoever. As a whole, the coaching staff hasn't made all of the necessary adjustments. The qualifier that I think is important to add, there, is the word "yet." They've made plenty of adjustments. The adjustments that they've made, so far, haven't completely solved the issues. It's a work in progress and I think they've made some serious strides, given the circumstances. They're still making changes and tinkering with the offense and game-plan. I wouldn't deign to think I know much better than the offensive staff, considering I don't know what adjustments that they've actually made. I know they have made adjustments though.

Expand full comment

Where did I say anything about "loading up with extra tight ends" or using the FB? He doesn't have to go to an extreme in the opposite direction, just use some common sense. At a minimum, he should keep the RB in to block. If you'll recall, I agreed with your comment that perhaps putting a TE beside Becton was hurting more than helping. With the way our OL had been playing even prior to the injuries, I NEVER would have gone to an empty backfield, much less once our OL began dropping like rain drops.

What successful teams do is different from the Jets. Those teams have better OLs who give more initial protection, their WRs get open and catch the ball, and they don't commit all the dumb penalties. He's already seen Rodgers go down for the season, and we know that Rodgers gets the ball out quickly (usually).

It would be one thing with a proven veteran QB and an offense that had been scoring points and playing at a pretty high level. It's quite another when one has a young, developing QB that hasn't been scoring a lot of points, and the offense has been shooting itself in the foot with poor OL play, dumb penalties, receivers not getting open and dropping the ball. Now to be fair, it is possible, that is a way that Hackett was trying to be more aggressive and was showing confidence in Zach. If so, fine, but it didn't work.

You had convinced me that Saleh wasn't to blame for the offense being so conservative, and that it was more on Hackett. I was discussing this topic on another fan site and a poster there pointed out that the offense looks very similar to when Rex was HC, the game plan and game managment decisions are very similar to when Rex was HC, and that Hackett was not conservative in either GB or Denver. While I pointed out to him that in GB and Denver, Hackett had proven quality starting QBs so he probably felt free to be more aggressive, plus I know that Rodgers had carte blanche to change plays and did quite frequently, and have to assume that Russell Wilson had the same privilege, so that's perhaps why his offenses were more aggressive in those places, and that the situation with the Jets is very different. That poster believes that Saleh is ordering Hackett to keep things more under wraps. That is more the norm for former DCs when they become HCs, i.e. to avoid mistakes/TOs by the offense and to play a field position game and try to win with D.

I don't know what to think at this point, and it really doesn't matter who is to blame. I just want whomever to wake up realize that they've been very lucky to win games with the offense self destructing and not scoring points. They need to take a look at the stats and how well Zach plays when the offense is sped up and he passes on 1st down.

I think the Jets should give this a try in the 1st Qtr of the SD game. It will give them an advantage as it will tire out SD's defense and hinder their making substitutions. If nothing else and the offense does play better, it should result in at least worst field position for the opposing offense, it could very well result in more points scored by the Jets, would put more pressure on opposing QBs, which would enable our pass rushers to tee of on them, and even if a drive only took 3-4 minutes, that's still longer than a 3 and out. If the sped-up offense still goes 3 and out, it's not that much less time for the D to rest. The Jets could try it on 2-3 drives and if it fails, go back to their regular offense. IMO they need to do something to generate more offense.

there's always a couple of different perspectives, that I'm glad to see, mull and discuss here on TJW.

Raising the paraglider up to see the forest, I guess that though Zach was still holding the ball too long (3.1 - 4+ seconds) he did so scanning the field for an open receiver. That's better than, say, last year, when it was all deer-in-headlights for him and he was getting clobbered.

Also, I gotta tell ya that when he "yipped" that short pass to Hall which, if properly delivered, Breece would certainly have gotten a first down, prob a ton more - well when he threw it like that, I cringed. But his reaction post Yip tells me that he "forgot" the bad result and got ready for the next play.

Now that you got me thinkin of this, though... that last pass to Malik Taylor - was it underthrown because (A) it was a bad pass; (B) it was deliberate to make Malik turn around, slow down and have the db run him over for the PI, or (C) a "Yip"?

(please don't tell me you think it was "C" - even if you have to lie to me)

I can't tell if that Breece miss was a "yip" or the conditions. He immediately went to the "look-at-your-hand-as-if-it-threw-the-ball-of-its-own-volition" thing, but I think we're all programmed to do that regardless of the weather conditions. It's probably somewhere between "A" and "B". He's got the kind of conceptual understanding where I can see him wanting to do that, but whether he actually processes the situation fast enough to actually mean to do it is another story. Everything is easier to swallow when he isn't acting like an asshole (poor Patriots fans and Mac Jones....)

It was a combination of things. Zach’s pocket presence was non existent. Took some terrible sacks. With a makeshift o-line in constant disarray you just have to know you can’t sit back for 4 to 5 seconds holding the ball. He had time to save yardage on a few of the sacks he took by just throwing the ball away. The short pass to Breece Hall that ended up in the dirt was reminiscent of his first two seasons here and even the ball he threw to Malek Wilson was terribly under thrown. Now, Hackett lining him up in an empty backfield on 3rd and short and some of the other mind numbing calls were at least equally concerning as Hackett obviously did a lousy job self scouting over the bye week🤔

Expand full comment

You’re right, he took many ridiculous sacks. And also right on Hackett calling a pretty shit game in general.

hey Chris, Ron - I was crying out all game long, "ROLL OUT!" - take away 1/2 that line of pressure and send the TE on a slant / quick in towards the rolling out side, behind the LBs running parallel to the mobile line of defense (they would have had to because Zach has enough mobility to make them pay with his legs if he can't find an open receiver).

Instead, we only saw a handful of plays where Zach purposefully did this. Other plays he was running from the pass rush.

While on the topic, Thibadeaux had himself an excellent game, mostly at Becton's expense. Mekhi's weakness are the speed rushers, which makes me wonder why Hackett doesn't call up more plays where a TE on that side can "chip" the rusher (slowing Kayvon down enough for a second of protection) before hitting his route.

Nathaniel, your "Mr. Hyde" showed more than your "Dr. Jekyl" this past Sunday.

Here's an interesting consequence of adding a tight end to the side of a tackle you might try to protect: the edge player that you're attempting to protect against winds up lining up wider, resulting in a running start and more room to maneuver. There is, at least, a little bit to be said about allowing a man as enormous as Mekhi Becton to take on the edge with no tight end to reduce that edge player's alignment. It, honestly, depends on a particular tackle's comfort with different kinds of sets. Do they think that Becton is more comfortable kicking vertically or horizontally? That's a question worth asking. I'm not sure there is a good answer with a talent like Thibodeaux.

hey David!!!

That game last night was ugly, as in falling out the top of the ugly tree, and hitting every branch on the way down face first.

But I'll take it.

And the best part, actually because there was one? OT; 3rd & 10, ball on the Jets 39; Zach standing calm and tall as the rush is about to hit him, and he delivers the strike to Garrett, who then INSANELY does what Garrett-the-Gumby always does... wills his body to contort and get the first down.

Credit to Garrett for the absolutely GREAT play, he is truly top 5 in this league. But credit to Wilson for clearly, in that split second, looking like a veteran Quarterback who our guys can go to war with - because if that throw doesn't kick up the confidence in this young man being able to do what needs to be done, then I don't know what can.

As for the bad news??? Uuugh, David - not this morning. But I do hope JD is burning the phone wires today for an IOL. We have no one left except for our '23 draft pick, who's been inactive the whole season. Cut Lawson today, for the $ he'll need to make moves; and if no one goes for Cook, cut him, too.

There were SO many screwups yesterday it was true team effort in a loss, though ST gets a pass and Thomas Morstead deserves a game ball for every punt he made yesterday. He almost singlehandedly kept the Giants pinned in their own end of the field all game. And I missed on the heroics because I was disgusted and shut of the TV and erased the game from my DVR, lol. I didn't even know that they won until about 45 minutes after the game ended when I saw someone had posted "Jets Win" on FartBook.

ZW was absolutely awful the entire game and the Hack's playcalling was a true mystery. And the last minute heroics seemed to be more about how the Giants played their defense rather than a heroic effort by ZW. Let's remember that they ended up spiking the ball with 1 second left on the clock, as they could just as easily never got to the line and get set in time.

The defense held the Giants to -9 yards passing, but that was more about the Giants being down to their last QB and not trusting him to throw the ball. How they gave up over 200 yards rushing with a QB under orders not to throw is ridiculous. Missed tackles galore, bonehead penalties and the one guy counted as a run-stuffer goes down with a torn Achilles tendon. You cannot be an elite defense if you cannot stop the run in a situation like that. They need another Snacks Harrison of Sione Pouha in the middle next to Q.

It's not an excuse, but losing your #1 and #2 centers within 4 or 5 plays of each other is a big deal, and you had to know that first snap from the kid Newman was going to end up a fumble. But being someone freshly signed and upgraded from the PS, he did an admirable job under the circumstances. I hope that Salah is right about Tipp being a fast-healer, as he is now the #1 center, albeit by default. If the Jets make any deals by tomorrow, it looks like an OL is the priority. But the problem is that there aren't any good linemen available and teams will be looking to commit larceny. Talking about Ben Jones and Rodney Hudson is just farcical. And Becton and Mitchell got their asses handed to them by K-Thib, who was a wrecking crew the entire game, as was Dexter Lawrence.

When all is said and done, this was one of the worst games I have ever seen. On the Jets side they were lucky that ST showed up to play. What a shitshow.

I thought Practice Squad Center/ OG Xavier Newman played remarkably well considering the circumstances. Expect this week Guard Jason Poe and DT Tanzel Smart will get promoted from the Practice Squad. The cupboard is officially bare, nothing left on the PS at those positions. Don’t believe there is any legitimate help at the deadline. Curious to see what can be done. Opportunity knocks for these three young players, this is how many careers get started.

Were our receivers having a hard time getting open most of the game? Is that bad on them or good on Giants defense?

i think it all flowed from the jints pressure, sending the house as often as they did, and Hackett not adjusting. He could adjust by calling more roll-outs, towards the strong side of the LOS so the TE's could chip an edge. I would have run sets with TE's doing just that, off Becton's side since he faced Thibadeaux almost all game and we saw what a speed rusher does to Mehki. Nothing against Mekhi, he's a yuge guy, and as good as he is in other aspects, his size defines his mobility (actually, his body type, too - relatively normal torso but very long legs), and Kayvon is very fast. Something like that, you have to pop the edge coming out of your break - that's the best way to slow the edge down for that critical second to 1.5 seconds so he doesn't turn the corner on the LT w/out opposition.

Now, on the receiver side, what few times I could see what was happening from the TV game (because they always focus on the pocket, and hardly ever look at the field unless it's a catch and a playback on the TV camera...) Hackett had them running intermediate routes, right into the strength of the jints pass d. He also did not have the slot running short slants to the middle of the field, 5 yard down, below the DB's but behind. Garrett was double teamed alot, still getting open - but at that point the clock is ticking 3.5 - 4.0 - longer... and the jints pass rush was already getting to Zach.

Hackett also tried at least one screen pass to Breece, but the jints lber, Okereke, broke that up. That LB btw, is a stud, almost as good as Mosely. It was like when other teams try screens on us and either CJ or Quincy just blow it up, that guy is that good.

Mostly it was Wink beating Hackett all game long - and I didn't see enough adjustments from Hackett to change that.

Let's face it; Jets got lucky - and i'll take it. Two missed field goals, two penalties in final seconds regulation and in OT, the two PIs against Garrett and Malik - well the jints must be just kicking themselves all night long, prob all week, too, for blowing that chance to win.

But fuck'em, they and their fans talk some serious whiny shit, about "owning" the stadium, calling us "the JV", the "renters" - not giving a shit for facts, which is that the stadium is co-owned by both teams. It's the arrogance, the lack of respect. And we don't get to play them in regular season for another 4 years, so I say to them, let THAT stick in your arrogant, fair-weather-sailor, stinky, nasty THROATS until 2027!

Que se vayan todos esos pendejos p'al Car-AJO!!!

You don't want to give any credit to Giants' defense, do you? Defense wins games, not the passing. W

He owns this plain and simple
