Good morning ☀️
It’s been a pretty exciting 24 hours for Jets fans. Like every trade, only time will determine a winner. We can sit here and speculate, but the value of this trade will be determined by the overall outcome.
If the Jets go on to win a Super Bowl, then it’s absolutely worth it. If Aaron Rodgers plays for a couple of years and they go deep into the playoffs, then it’s worth it. If the Jets flame out in the Wild Card and Rodgers retires, well history won’t look back kindly on this deal.
But the Jets haven’t had a winning season since 2015, they haven’t been to the playoffs since 2010 and they haven’t been to a Super Bowl in over 50 years. It’s a risk, but it’s a calculated one. We traded a first and a second-round pick, that’s not mortgaging the future as some have proclaimed over the last 24 hours.

Enough about Rodgers, it’s time to talk about the draft. Tomorrow night the Jets will be on the clock (#15 now) and today I’m going to release my final mock draft of the off-season. Following a reader's suggestion, I’m also going to include the pool of players I was picking from to give you some context for my thoughts and selections.
📸 Jets GM Joe Douglas, Assistant GM Rex Hogan, and Kyle Stickles were all present at the 2023 pre-draft press conference yesterday. Kyle who bravely fought off Cancer will announce the Jet’s first-round pick on Thursday night through the Make-A-Wish foundation, and it was great to see him on the podium as part of the Jet’s pre-draft team.
⚠️ Just a warning, it was really an Aaron Rodgers conference talk and not really a draft talk. As a further note, Aaron Rodgers will be introduced to the media later this afternoon.
👋 Rodgers posted a farewell to Green Bay on his Instagram:
⭐ Aaron Rodgers also liked a tweet that referenced Zach Wilson’s comment about making life hell for the new QB, I found that quite entertaining this morning:
