Always hoping for a trade, but at this time of year, you get minimal value in return, still I would hope JD is on the phones. ARE THE JETS CARRYING 5 TACKLES ON OFFENSE AND DEFENSE ? Max Mitchell had some sort of injury against the Giants, Olu is at least an adequate Swing Tackle, could the Jets go with a normal 4 OT’s after last years Offensive Line fiasco ? 5 Defensive Tackles ? With three of your four DT’s on one year contracts, you need to keep Leonard Taylor, and the inside pressure that he has demonstrated.
Monday Night Football in San Francisco, how exciting, traveling to the West Coast, very tough game, almost impossible. But if you look at the training camp injuries , and the uncertainty of Trent Williams & Brandon Aiyuk, and the Jets May have a shot. The point here is the Jets came through Training Camp, pretty healthy and although we have our drama with HR, other teams have their issues, Jets are in a pretty good shape for the start of the season.
Before the draft this past year, The Jet Way introduced for purchase the draft day throwable tv remote.
Specifically made to withstand being tossed across a room when the Jets made their usually terrible draft pick.
Knowing that JD and his staff really have their work cut out for them with some roster building manipulations , in anticipation for the Jets to being forced to cut some really good players, the Torch and Pitchfork Brigade want to introduce the double thick Jet Way cell phone cover.
Unlike the draft which is done at a specific time, cutdown day cuts can be announced any time, while at work, shopping, a romantic dinner with that special person.Be prepared to toss your phone in anger anywhere, anytime.
Fellow Jet fans be prepared, it might not be pretty on Tuesday. We could be going to Heartbreak Hotel
Many fans were infuriated when the Jets tried to sneak Pinnock through waivers. Then to make matters worse, the Giants picked him up.
Lifelong Jet fan Sebastian from Bensonhurst while reading the NFL rule book has discovered that the NFL has changed the IR rule for cutdown day. In the past, a player had to be on the final 53 to be put on the IR. That doesn’t hold true anymore.
With that in place the Jets could put Leki Fotu on the short term IR, while seeing if Leonard Taylor is the real deal. The fact Fotu hasn’t really shown anything really doesn’t justify his roster spot.
Maybe there are a few more injured Jets who could be short termed. Maybe Mitchell could be put there.
Presently, one of the positives of Where’s Waldo#7 holding out is that he doesn’t count on the final 53.
He was brought in to replace Huff’s roster spot. I really don’t care if he is more talented than McGregor or McKinley, I would rather have a less talented player who gives 100% every play than a mercenary.
Also in this equation is the roster spot that was JFM’s
Looking at the Jets schedule, it would be hard to argue that opening in San Francisco is that terrible as opposed to playing them down the road.
SF unlike the Jets has had contract issues and injuries. There are probably more surprising wins on opening day than any other week on the schedule.
The Jets are an unknown factor to SF. They don’t know what Rodgers, Moses or Smith have left in the tank. Maybe some of the 49ers think they are facing the “ same old Jets. Maybe some of the elite 49er players mentally will not take the Jets seriously. That’s why upsets happen
This from ex Jet and color commentator Leger Douzable.
He was having a back and forth discussion with a fan on X( formerly known as twitter). It was about keeping some of the young Jet D liners over Clemons.
“Don't let preseason fool you is all I'm saying. Level of competition matters”
Are you certain about the IR rule change? I read and post on two other sites with very knowledgeable fans, and no one has said anything about that rule change when discussing the roster. I hope that you're right, as that would make it easier.
I couldn't agree more about keeping young Edges who want to be with the Jets and will give their all vs Reddick. I hope the dumbass sits out the entire season or JD changes his mind and is able to find a team stupid enough to trade for the disgruntled, delusional jackass.
Maybe I'm delusional, or have drunk the Kool-Aid, but I don't think it would be an upset for the Jets to beat SF in week 1. Supposedly, the Jets are a legit SB contender. If so, then they shouldn't an underdog or that much of an underdog, especially with their LT holding out, their best WR holding out (Aiyuk), the rookie Pearsall just now coming back to practice, and having around 25-27 players who have missed varying amounts of practice during TC with injuries. IMO if the Jets are for real, they should beat SF in week 1 and set the tone for the season. If they don't, then barring any serious injuries to key starters before week 1 or during the game, and a bad day at the office from Rodgers, then Saleh is definitely the problem.
Douzable has been there and done it. He has a very definite point in saying that level of competition matters. We fans tend to see backups dominating against other teams' backups and think they'll be just as good against other teams starters, that is unrealistic reasoning and expectations. We also have to remembet that all three of the Jets preseason opponents are not very good teams. The Commanders could surprise because of their rookie QB, and I think the Panthers will surprise some teams because they are well coached and have some good young talent. The Gnats will be one of the worst teams in the NFL. Not even Nabers is going to change that.
I love the phone covers! That's hilarious! I would truly enjoy sitting down and having a few cold ones with you and the other guys. I think we'd all be laughing our fool heads off.
David, I really hope ur gut is wrong on McGregor. My gut is telling me he is going to be a very productive player. I wud personally cut Surratt if it came down to the two. I wud also keep Key over Oliver. But because of Ulbrich's relationship with him, he is most likely going to stay. I am also really glad that Izzy did well in the last game. I think he will make it.
I hope so too Phil. I'm a big McGregor fan and think there is plenty of potential there and like you, I'd keep him over Surratt. But Saleh seems to really like Surratt and he is a good special team guy. I think it does depend on roster composition. Do they need another special teams guy like Surratt or is that covered with the receiver room etc.
I think he definitely does as he always wants great depth on the DL and that has been his #1 defensive priority during his time as the Jets' HC. LBs have been even behind CB in terms of priority. Mosely was already here. They added Quincy and Surratt as not highly-regarded FAs, added Sherwood in the 3rd round I think as a conversion project and Barnes in the 5th or 6th round. If LB was a true priority, then imo the Jets would have used a 1st or 2nd round pick on a LB.
I can’t see McGregor getting cut. I would keep him over Clemons or even McKinley. McKinley’s been a nice story going against our opponents 2’s. ( as has McGregor) but I think I favor the younger player in this case. The next 24 hours will be very interesting. I think we will start getting news after noon today.
I could see a surprising shakeup or two on the defensive line. I, actually, like Clemons quite a bit from the work he put in his first year. He was an underrated and effective backup to Franklin-Myers, and while he underwhelmed in his second year, a lot of that had to do with the team experimenting with his positional versatility. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Clemons makes the team, starts, and makes an impact as the Franklin-Myers replacement. Takk McKinley is interesting in that the Jets could, technically, cut him with the promise of a guaranteed situational while Reddick sits out. He isn't claimable on waivers, so he's one of these guys who can sign with whoever he wants. Guys like that will be interesting.
They are not cutting McGregor. Brant Boyer could be a major influencer here, McGregor is a monster on Special Teams. I’m a 25 Offense and 25 Defense guy this year. The Defense will have 5 linebackers, 10 DB’s ( 6 CB’s and 4 Safeties) would like to swap a CB for a quality safety. 10 Defensive Lineman ( 5 Edge & 5 DT’s) Johnson, McDonald, Clemons, McGregor , Reddick with DT’s Williams, Kinlaw, Fotu, Thomas & Taylor. Jets will not cut Clemons but I would. Clemons will have a limited role that could be handled by Watts.
I agree that the Jets won't cut McGregor, and I didn't even realize that McGregor had been playing STs and was very good there. You know that I agree with you regarding the 25/25 split between offense and defense. I also agree that I would cut Clemons. The only positions I disagree with you are on the DL and CBs. I don't see McKinley on your roster, and I would keep him over Clemons. I also don't see 6 CBs worthy of keeping on the roster. I see Sauce, Reed, Echols, JBC and Stiggers as the 5. Who do you see as the 6th? If it's Swilling, I don't see his having done nearly enough playing against only 3rd rounders (or lower). I think he would make it to the PS with no problem.
Gotta disagree with you Ron regarding keeping McGregor over McKinley. While McGregor has some potential, in an all-in year, you want experienced players. Also, McGregor's potential is not seen as that great since he went undrafted. As it is, aside from Rodgers, Smith, Moses, and Mosely, the Jets are a very young team, and I think still one of the youngest teams in the NFL. The last thing the Jets need is to make the playoffs and then lose because of a rookie mistake. Whereas McGregor is more of a complete Edge and McKinley is more of a designated pass rusher, It hink they need McKinley, especially if Reddick doesn't show up. I see no reason why the Jets can't keep both. If anyone is cut, it should be Clemons. He has done nothing in TC or preseason. As far as I'm concerned, Saleh's and Ulbrich's talking Clemons up is just a bunch of empty, meaningless BS as we've seen no evidence of his improvement.
Craig, yeah, that’s gonna be a tough call. I hear you. But Gotta remember that against starting caliber players McKinley hasn’t been very good over his first three years. So I’m having a problem being a believer in McKinley based solely on his performance against opposing backups.
I agree that it could be a tough call, but disagree that McKinley wasn't very good over his first 3 years. He has been in the NFL for 6 years. He spent the first 4 seasons with Atlanta. His rookie season (2017) he had 6 sacks, 14 solo tackles, 20 combined tackles, a PD, 2 FFs and a Fumble recovery as a part-time role p layer. His 2nd season (2018), he started 8 of 15 games, had 7 sacks, 15 solo tackles, and 22 combined tackles. His 3rd season (2019), he started 13 games (appeared in 14) , had 3.5 sacks, but 17 solo tackles and 29 combined tackles. He was injured in week 15 and placed on IR. That next April the Falcons declined the 5th year option. Following that season, the Falcons Dan Quinn was fired and Raheem Morris was hired as HC and the scheme probably changed. McKinley started 4 of the 4 games he appeared in 2020, and then in November requested again to be traded. (Several teams during 2019 tried to trade for McKinley and the Falcons turned them down, and at that time McKinley had asked for a trade, but was turned down. He was waived shortly after that and was claimed by the Bengals and 49ers, but had contracts voided with both because of failed physicals The Raiders then claimed him and placed him on IR. He was never activated by the Raiders even though he could have come off of IR in mid-December.
In March of 2021 he signed with the Browns, but in week 14 he tore his achilles tendon and was placed on IR. In September of 2022, he signed with the Titans' PS. A week later, the Rams signed him off of the Titan's PS, but then terminated his contract in mid-October. On Nov. 16 he signed with the Cowboys, whose DC was Dan Quinn. He re-signed with the Cowboys in March 2023, but was released in June.
So his first 3 seasons were pretty good, then he started dealing with injuries and a coaching change, and I think I remember reading that he had some personal problems/issues. He looks like he has got his act together now and has regained his speed. Again, I don't think that it has to be an either/or situation. I think the Jets should keep both McKinley and McGregor.
You might be surprised with some of those assumptions. Surratt, while he may have some interesting physical attributes and upside potential, is still a developmental project. The question you'd need to ask is whether there is a team out there who is comfortable bringing him in to take on an immediate special teams and backup role. I'm skeptical that that would, necessarily, happen. Sure, you can never be certain with guys who are upside projects, but Surratt has been in the league for a few years, now, and there is a lot of tape on him. He's a known asset. I think we might be doing something that happens a lot with supporters of a given team: we're overrating guys on the team we root for while underrating the talent on other rosters. There are, likely, plenty of similar developmental linebackers who will wind up available. Also, you have to wonder whether they actually think a 3rd string backer warrants a roster spot. I don't, necessarily, think they do, and unless team out there is looking to churn the bottom of their roster with a shot at a guy like that, I could see him winding up right back on the practice squad.
Isaiah Oliver is a slightly different matter. Sure, I think it is possible that Oliver sticks around, but I think that the Jets are pretty clearly trying to find higher upside options to fill that void. They're giving more work to Brandin Echols in the nickel, giving guys like Jarius Monroe and Jaylen Key plenty of room to learn the intricacies of both safety spots, and deciding how much they could count on their top three (Tony Adams, Chucky Clark, and Ashtyn Davis) to fill all of those reps at safety. If they feel comfortable rolling with positional coverage from that three-man group plus auxilary reps from some of the more versatile backups from the cornerback room (Bernard-Converse and Echols), I think you could easily see them dump Oliver and, possible, bring him back on the practice squad.
Abanikanda, I think, is a likely casualty of cutdown day. What the Jets likely feel good about is the fact that they have three guys ahead of him on the depth chart and he was, actually, getting pushed by dudes further down the depth chart. Sure, he could eventually make an impact somewhere in the league. It likely won't be with the Jets, and that isn't a terrible thing. Not being able to keep a 4th string running back is a pretty silly thing to worry about considering the talent they have in that room.
In a worse case scenario, consider the Practice Squad replacements that would back up Surratt, Oliver & Abanikanda.. LB McCrary-Ball, safety Monroe and RB Valladay, developmental guys for sure, but could replace.
I think Oliver makes the team, and I don't think he'd make it through to the PS. With this being an all-in season, the Jets need more veteran players. Aside from Rodgers, Smith, Moses, and Mosely, the Jets are a very young team. They need some veteran players that they can rely upon. If thiis team wasn't being thought of as a contender, then they could afford to and probably would keep more young players with upside over vets with limited upside, but since it is an "all in" season, I think they keep guys like McKinley and Oliver. The're already going to be keeping a lot of young players and 7 or 8 rookies.
I disagree that Abanikanda was being pushed by the likes of Valladay or Jones. Abanikanda looked better than Davis as a RB in preseason. Davis looked good as a receiver out of the backfield and blocking, but he looked pretty bad as a RB. I saw no evidence of his supposedly great vision or power as a RB. IMO Abanikanda should replace Davis as the #3 RB on the roster, and Davis be the #4, and maybe be used as the 3rd down back and KOR.
A guy like Isaiah Oliver MAY find his way onto another team if he is cut, but his chances of getting playing time depend on his knowledge of the system he goes to. He probably winds up finding a scheme and staff he has experience with and then trying to find a sub role. He's a vested veteran so he can go wherever he wants. Essentially, if he likes this staff/scheme and likes his odds of winding up getting called up (like, does he think an injury at some point to the secondary winds up happening?), all things being equal, I bet he'd stay even if it is practice squad. Unless another team is dangling an actual roster spot, it's probably not something he'd do. It'll be interesting, for sure.
WIth Abanikanda, I don't disagree that he looks like he has some extra juice this offseason (more than Davis, at least). I think there is something to consider with running backs: what parts of the game have they traditionally struggled with and what parts of the game have they traditionally been successful with? Abanikanda has had trouble picking up blocking schemes (passing and, to a lesser extent, running), struggled to carve out a role on specials, and has not exactly blown the coaching staff away when it comes to the mental side of the game. I think his extra juice could, perhaps, be a result of extra confidence in the scheme. If he knows the running scheme and is more confident in his cuts, his athletic ability will be able to shine. The reverse could be said for Davis and his not looking particularly explosive in the ground game. The confidence in his cuts doesn't seem to have been there yet. It's a bit of a balancing act; is Abanikanda finding his confidence in the ground game something that would outweight his inability to master the pass blocking and receiving part of the game? Is Davis' lack of desiciveness in the ground game something that outweighs how advanced he's looked in the receiving game and in protection? Which is more projectable? Davis gaining confidence in the ground game and showcasing his athleticism or Abanikanda finally grasping the protections? That'll be interesting to watch the staff consider. It also is worth noting that they could see a little bit more grainular progress from most of these guys in actual practices. At the end of the day, we're talking about a 4th string running back who, probably, won't see the field much and is likely to be battling for his NFL career next offseason, too.
I agree that we're talking about a 3rd/4th string RB, but injuries do happen, and Abanikanda has something that neither Davis nor Allen have, HR speed. I wouldn't be so quick to give up on him if I were the HC or GM unless he was just so dumb that I thought he'd never learn the blocking. In that scenario, I'd use the Giants game to see if there was any interest in another team trading for him.
It's not even that I think Oliver is that good. To be honest, I know nothing about him or his career other than he's a veteran and has played for Ulbrich before. I just think the Jets need more veterans on the roster. I'd love it if they could replace Oliver with a better veteran S who was a camp cut, but don't know if that will happen.
That said, if the Jets are confident that Key or Monroe are better than Oliver, I won't be upset, just surprised.
Since it's Saleh's neck that is on the line, you have to let him go to war with the guys he wants if it doesn't hurt the team too much going forward.
True story. This is the last stand for this coaching staff, so Saleh is going to be just a little bit less open to taking chances than usual. That can mean being less likely to take a chance on an undrafted rookie (Monroe, McGregor, Watts, etc.), being less likely to take a chance on a reclamation project (hello Mr. McKinley!), or less likely to take a chance on potential over functionality (Abanikanda over a special teams maven). We'll see in a few hours what it all looks like. In the end, I'm not betting on anything crazy happening. I do, however, hope to see Levao stick around!
True and understandable from Saleh's perspective, but I imagine that Boyer and Ulbrich have input, and hopefully JD has input, if not the final say on who is on the team. If so, then he could be more likely to keep the young players since it's less likely that he will get fired than Saleh. He will be judged as much by the talent on the team as he will the W-L record. If JD cuts several of the young players who have shown so much potential or Takk or maybe even Abanikanda, the fanbase and media could create such a shit storm that JD would get fired even if the team had a winning record.
David, I totally agree that Izzy, Takk, Taylor, and McGregor earned a spot on the roster and they should be on it. I disagree that McGregor and Levao will get cut. At least imo they should not.
I disagree with you that the Jets will only keep 9 DL. IMO that makes no sense with all the good young DL they have in addition to the vets. This is why I think your roster breakdown of 27 offensive players and only 23 defensive players is wrong. I think the Jets keep 10 DL players: Q, JJ, McDonald, Kinlaw, Fotu, McKinley, Taylor, McGregor, Thomas and Clemons. There's only player on that list that imo doesn't deserve a roster spot, and that's Clemons. He was invisible last season and wasn't much better than that his rookie season. I think he has no upside and has peaked. He's good at setting the Edge, but not great, and he doesn't offer much as a pass rusher.
I was shocked the Zuerlein missed two FGs. In fact, I was shocked that he even kicked in the game. I thought they would have let Siebert kick. I wonder if the Jets are hoping to stash him on the PS? Hopefully, it was just a fluke for Zuerlein and not a harbinger of things to come.
I think that Watts will get cut. Even though he looked good in OTAs (before pads), he was practically invisible in TC, and then a little better in preseason action. Some team may claim him, but he could make it to the PS.
As you know, there's more to being a good S than just being a good tackler. His lack of speed concerns me. He looked OK vs other teams 2nd and 3rd stringers (or lower), but I doubt that he would fare as well vs starters. If he makes it through to the PS, great, but if not, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.
The Niners have had an awful offseason in terms of injuries. With a tougher TC and all the practice reps the Jets have had, especially several weeks of the starting OL together, I think the Jets should definitelly beat the Niners in week 1. If not, then I think Saleh's days could definitely be numbered, because barring a major injury or just a bad day by Rodgers, the Jets should win that game.
Newman injured his shoulder in the game vs the Giants. I haven't heard what kind of injury or how serious it may be, but he may be headed to the IR. Another player suffered an ankle injury, but I didn't hear who that was or how severe it was. Either or both could affect roster decisions.
I have to say - after complaing about preseason games and not starting regulars - Saturday night game was very spirited. The crwodd was livley as were the teams. I had to laugh when 2 Giants fans sitting next to me got up, never to return, after the Jets had 3 straight sacks in a row. That pass rush was ferocious. Izzy well - he was excellent. I sure hope Martinez makes it to the practice squad he looked great.
First off David.......Cologne, beer and chocolate......oooooh ! Otherwise, I think Clemons and Thomas should be gone. Clemons has shown nothing, and Thomas is hanging around because RS loves his ex-49er's. He's a pass-rush guy first with a poor record against the run game. I'd rather have Taylor on the 53 than him. Whichever way they go the Jets will have issues against the run up the middle just like they have the last 3 years. I truly hope they have McGregor on the 53. When I watch him, he reminds me of a certain number 90 who was an excellent pass rusher whose career was ended by and awful on-field injury. Watts was pretty blah considering the $$$$$ he got. He reminds me of a younger and a bit more athletic Clemons, which isn't saying much. I think Taylor has to make the 53 also, he has shown some nice talent. I don't think they could sneak him onto the PS. On the other hand, I think Mckinley will definitely go through waivers and having him on the PS would be a big plus.
I don't know what the injury issues with Mitchell and Newman are, but Levao has been quietly impressive. As far as backup center goes, Schweitzer is first up, but he doesn't engender a lot of confidence. They had Glaser and Hanson at center against the Giants with mixed results. This could be a very weak point for the Jets if Tippmann gets injured.
At running back, Izzy will make the team if they carry 4 RB's. He showed up well during pre-season but is still same old Izzy. Davis has a lot more upside in the long run. Even on that TD run, the tackling was so poor that any decent running back could do it. And he's not an ST guy at all. My hands are getting numb so I will be back later with the rest of my comment............unless I forget, lol.
One thing though, when Otis Livingston asked Moseley during the game about RedDICK, CJ looked like he wanted to be somewhere else, lol.
This is a nitpick, but a guy like McKinley is a vested veteran and, therefore, wouldn't require waivers. He can sign with whomever he wants. I'd love to see a guy like Levao succeed! Guys like that who have to work the bottom of rosters and alt-leagues are fun to root for!
Holmes had a great preseason and TC. He might wind up starting over Clemons. I think McGregor might be able to replace either as the starter by at some point during the season if he keeps developing as quickly as he has. If the Jets only keep 10 DL, then I think Clemons should be the one to go.
PS (16) These are the players that I think the Jets want to make it to the PS. Whether they will or not remains to be seen. JD usually signs a cut or two from other teams. If he does this year, I think it will be at one of 4 positions: QB, S, WR, and IOL (in that order). I have changed my mind at QB, and don't think the Jets should keep either QB. Martinez is athletic and experienced, but holds the ball too long, his accuracy and arm strength are lacking, as is anticipation. Peasley has the better arm, but wasn't able to do anything with the scrubs in one week, whereas Martinez was in the 1st preseason game.
That's where his experience paid off. I have 14 of the 16 spots filled assuming the other 3 would either be from players cut from other teams or perhaps other players they like that I didn't notice. I think that they might want to keep Siebert, but after having been perfect in preseason action, I don't think there's any chance that he'll make it through waivers.
QB -

WR - Tyler Harrell, Brandon Smith
TE - Kuntz, Firkser
OL - Latham, Mitchell
Edge - Watts
LB - Surratt, Eguavoen
DT - Hector
CB - Swilling, Codrington
S - Key, Monroe
*Foreign Exemption - Obinna Eze (doesn't count in the 16 PS players)
Excellent, I think however you forget slot CB Michael Carter. Max Mitchell along with Newman got banged up Saturday, curious to see if this alters the final 53 . Leveo got the most Offensive snaps in the preseason for a reason.
You're right! Since he's been injured, I have totally forgotten about MC II every single time. I'll have to edit my roster. Thanks!
Thanks also for letting me know that it was Mitchell who was the other Jet who was injured on Saturday. The announcers said that it was an ankle injury and that could set him back, since I would think that the ankles are key for OL and DL. He could be someone to go on IR if Bobber is correct about the new IR rule.
If a player is placed on this list before the regular season begins, he could miss the entire season unless — per a rules adjustment this year — they are designated to return during the roster cutdown to 53 players after training camp. Teams can designate up to two such players to return.
Thanks. That's still better than it used to be. Good news.
By the way, on Friday, you said there were two guarantees that would happen if Stiggers was cut, and you listed the same thing (that 31 teams would put in a claim for him) for both guarantees. Was that intentional or accidental??? If accidental, what was the second?
I originally was going to say point number two, Douglas should be fired for doing a dumb thing like that
As you can see, I tend to post differently than more learned fans as you, Jet Orange, Daniel, Ron Alexander are.
I guess you can say my expertise is being a wise ass coming up with things like The Jet Way draft day tv remote, cutdown day phone protector, Sebastian from Bensonhurst, Where’s Waldo#7, The Brigade etc.
I thought maybe that's what you were doing, but wasn't sure, so thought I'd ask. Several others liked my original post asking you about that, so I think they were curious as well. You got us all! LOL
You're just as knowledgeable as we are, maybe moreso. You post a lot of things from NFL and Jets' history that I didn't know.
Always hoping for a trade, but at this time of year, you get minimal value in return, still I would hope JD is on the phones. ARE THE JETS CARRYING 5 TACKLES ON OFFENSE AND DEFENSE ? Monday Night Football in San Francisco, how exciting, traveling to the West Coast, very tough game, almost impossible. But if you look at the training camp injuries , and the uncertainty of Trent Williams & Brandon Aiyuk, and the Jets May have a shot. The point here is the Jets came through Training Camp, pretty healthy and although we have our drama with HR, other teams have their issues, Jets are in a pretty good shape for the start of the season.

He was having a back and forth discussion with a fan on X( formerly known as twitter). It was about keeping some of the young Jet D liners over Clemons.
“Don't let preseason fool you is all I'm saying. Level of competition matters”
I guess Only time will tell.
Bobber, 👍 thanks for informing me about the phone covers. Where can I get one?😂
For you personally, I recommend the black. I think green would be a detriment to find in the rough knowing you would be near the 19th hole.
I guess our biggest hope is that Saleh love’s defensive linemen over linebackers
Carter
Apologies, forgot McKinley, replace Clemons with McKinley. Solomon Thomas will take reps as a run stopper DE
What I like about your writing, you take a different spin on things but also bring intelligent, well thought out reasoning to defend your spin👏
It is greatly appreciated
I agree.
In a worse case scenario, consider the Practice Squad replacements that would back up Surratt, Oliver & Abanikanda.. LB McCrary-Ball, safety Monroe and RB Valladay, developmental guys for sure, but could replace.
I disagree with your take, Daniel.
Is there any advantage to the TEAM, of cutting a player today ( Monday) versus Tuesday afternoon ?
Thanks. And about Levao, I watched Joe Blewett on Jets X-Factor and he had some good things to say about him.
My revised roster is as follows:
Offense (25)
QB (2) – Rodgers, Taylor
RB (4) – Hall, Allen, Davis, Abanikanda
WR (6) – Wilson, Williams, Corley, Gipson, Lazard, Charles
TE (3) – Conklin, Ruckert, Yeboah
OL (10) – Smith, Simpson, Tippman, AVT, Moses, Fashanu, Schweitzer, Warren, Levao, Newman
Defense (25)
DL (11) – JJ, Q, Kinlaw, Clemons, McDonald, Foku, Thomas, McKinley, Taylor, McGregor, Holmes
LB (4) – Mosely, Q Williams, Sherwood, Barnes
CB (6)– Sauce, Reed, JBC, Stiggers, Echols, MC II
S (4) – Adams, Clark, Davis, Oliver
QB -
RB -
WR - Tyler Harrell, Brandon Smith
I apologize. I stand corrected
I did that on purpose to drive home a point.
