Good morning! ☕
The off-season is an interesting period for fans. We read countless articles about projections. Who will be a breakout candidate? Who will experience a bounceback season? Who will make a Pro Bowl? Who will make All-Pro?
But then the season starts and all of it is largely thrown in the bin.
Next week July hits. Not only is that my birthday (the 13th if you wanted to know) but the Jets will regroup at Florham to get down to business. We’ll see how many of our pre-season predictions hold true.
Now and then I like to take a look back at some lesser-known Jets players, and after Carl Barzilauskas came up in yesterday’s post, I thought I’d focus on him today.
🗓️ The Jets announced the dates for Training Camp yesterday and I wrote a little piece on GGN with all the information you need. The team will arrive back at 1JD on the 19th of July and the first session will take place on the 20th. There are 9 sessions open to the media with the first one being the 22nd of July. The Jets will hold joint sessions with the Tampa Bay Bucs on the 16th and 17th of August that are open to the public.
🗣️ I was undecided on whether to add this today, as I don’t tend to cover high school politics, but we have the answer to the weird question, ‘Why does Darrelle Revis have a problem with Joe Klecko?’ - Apparently Joe reached out to Revis after the Hall of Fame announcement, and Revis didn’t respond. So Joe called him out in front of others and Revis didn’t take kindly to that. So yeah, pathetic all around.
