Hi David, I have a request… Injuries have been a real concern for our team and I wondered if you could look into the jets new medical department? There was a lot made about this at the time as though the overhaul was some sort of revolutionary way of doing things and the league would follow suit. I haven’t really heard much more…

Funny you should mention that Braden, as it's something that I'm currently researching, although information is hard to come by, great shout and it's definitely something I'm working on covering and hoping to have that out very soon.

When you look at the speed of the six WR’s the Jets will have, and the arm talent of Wilson, it screams of a deep passing game. But the foundation of a deep passing game is protection and a consistent running game. The Jets took a three pronged approach in revamping this running game, in this second year of this Offense. The massive overhaul of the TE room, featured TE’s that can block as well as participate in the Passing Game. Controlling the Edge is a priority in this Wide Zone Running . Attack, TE’s are a big part of that. The addition of Tomlinson, who has had five of experience in this system, brings expertise, nastiness, and mentoring (Mekhi) to the Offensive Line. Watch Laken’s presser, you will see leadership and mentor stamped all over this guy. The final part of the running game over haul is Breece Hall , an absolute perfect fit for this Offense.

Kindly note , Ben Wilkerson is the new Assistant Offensive Line Coach, is a former player, who has had coaching stops with the Bears and the Giants. He replaces Jake Moreland, who had an interesting resume. Jake was an OC, but primarily a TE Coach that was tasked with coaching the Offensive Line for the Jets Under Benton.. It’s speaks to the integral part that TE’s to Offensive Line play and the mobile nature of Zone blocking. That experiment failed, Jake is back coaching TE’s in Denver I think. But Benton has an experienced assistant in Wilkerson to help in his work.
