Good morning!
When you’re sitting at 1-3, and you’re heading to another 1-3 team who have the 32nd ranked defence in football, it’s a game you absolutely have to have.
I’m not one to underestimate an opponent, but as I was researching Denver for my weekly UKNYJ Column which should come out in the next 24 hours, it’s hard to not get a little excited for the offence. 32nd in points allowed, 32nd in passing yards allowed, they’ve only kept Las Vegas to under 25 points, they have the lowest pressure rate in the NFL in terms of generating it and they don’t create a lot of turnovers.
If there was ever a game for Zach and the offence to build on their Kansas City momentum, it’s Denver.
Brandin Echols has unfortunately suffered a hamstring injury and will be out for the Denver game.
DJ Reed entered the concussion protocol yesterday, so that must have been during practice. Coach Saleh said that he was confident and optimistic that he’d be ready for the game.
Tony Adams will be limited. Sam Eguaveon will be limited. (Wes) Schweitzer’s back in practice, he’ll be limited and Mekhi (Becton) is on his normal schedule.
Jets OL Carter Warren and DB Jarrick Bernard-Converse Return to Practice.
The Jets also worked out CB Terrance Mitchell on Wednesday. Mitchell had a couple of good years in Kansas and Cleveland, he has 8 years of experience and spent last year in Tennessee. Imagine that’s just in case the Echols situation is bad and the Jets need cover.
Robert Saleh also confirmed that there will be no pitch-count for Breece Hall now…which should mean more carries for Breece, less carries for Cook.
I have a tendency to focus on certain players when I’m watching games, and we as a fanbase tend to focus on the same players when we analyse the game afterwards.
I thought it would be worth taking a look at some of those performers who are not necessarily going under the radar, but who probably don’t get the attention their play is warranting.
