This is a long shot. But I'm also doing a weekly Norwich City FC themed substack. If you're interesting in learning about my home team or looking for a football team this side of the pond. Give it a look :-)

David, I get it your from England. I get soccer is big there. But I just can’t make myself call it football! 😂 Besides, you can also use your head to score. Maybe you should call it head ball🤔😂

😂 I think it's fare to say the ball touches the foot a lot more in soccer than it does NFL 😂 It took me a long time to call anything else football, but I think they can both co-exist lol

Between rosters and taxi squad members, there are approximately 2,240 spots combined for all 32 NFL teams. A fringe player like Hayes needs many things to happen in his favor to make a team. Being out 4 am in the morning, getting caught with an illegal substance doesn’t exactly help your chances in making an NFL roster. Some players just don’t get it and sadly some never do. Not the dumbest infraction but certainly not a gold star for his resume.

The dumbest of all time, training camp during the height of COVID ( a time when play callers on the sideline were wearing mask and still covered their mouths when calling in plays), a rookie, supposedly #90 on the depth chart, for I think the Bengals, tried to sneak his girlfriend into the dorms wearing Bengals gear, they got caught in the lobby going in, he got cut on the spot. NOW THATS DUMB

As far as Florio goes, usually a chalk guy not known for wild statements. Remember one thing, at one time, not sure if it is still happening, he was partnered up with Chris Simms. Another guy, who got a job because of his father’s accomplishments.

When Chris Simms little brother Matt was on the Jets as the third string quarterback, Chris ripped the Jets for not playing Matt. In Chris’s professional estimation, his brother Matt was the best quarterback on the Jets. Geno Smith and Michael Vick were on the team then. By the way, Chris is another victim of 4 am stupidity. Maybe Florio likes sticking up for his friend.

As far as the turf, in the Meadowlands, that has always been ripped by players. The fact that two NFL teams own that ugly monstrosity with a combined franchise worth of something like 9-10 brazillion dollars.

It is a disgrace that they don’t try to rectify the situation. They have no problem putting billion of Springsteen and Taylor Swift fans on that turf for summer concerts.

They let their greed contribute to amnesia about what business they are in, it’s football not concerts.

Race horse owners treat their horses better than the Maras and Johnsons treat their players in this situation.

Remember when Rodgers went down, first culprit named was the turf. Whether it was the cause or not is not the point. Fingers pointed to the turf immediately.

You can’t just make a bad situation disappear, you need to fix it.

It is important to note that all writers have an agenda and a story to tell, sometimes facts get in the way.

They know that by picking on the Jets who have a very active online fanbase, they guarantee shares, eyes, comments etc. It's modern online media 101 at the minute.

There is an old saying, “ Never let facts get in the way of a good story”

Picking on the Jets is a layup. We are usually our own worst enemy. Self inflected moves are our norm. 🤬

ya but there is a lot they are picking on that is nonsense -

It's not just US based either. I tweeted the homepage of Marca's english language website (Spanish paper I use for football/soccer stories) and slap bang as the main feature was something about the Jets being in trouble because they don't know where Rodgers is.

OMG - unreal - The only thing that will cure this is winning - they HAVE to win that simple - go 12-5 it will stop !

Absolutely. We need playoffs at a minimum, but we really need a Super Bowl appearance.

That would seal it for sure

Just think after all the misery how sweet victory will taste and how nasty the taste of crow will be.

The Jets, the fans we all deserve some wins. We also deserve some good luck for a change. I have had hope for many seasons but this year feels different. I guess I meet the definition of insanity.

I’m have told my wife that a Super Bowl win and the whole house gets painted Jets green inside and out.

You and me both Scott.

My wife always laughs at me as I sit down to watch that first game...'let me guess, this is their year' is what she'll say because that's what I've been saying for a long time. Well at some point it is going to be our year.

lol - law of averages think luck would come our way

Have you informed your wife regarding your proposed decorative choices lest she displace you to the dog kennel!

Michael she has been informed but says front door, shutters and an accent wall inside. I say you never know what will happen once the lid is off the paint.

Steve, yeah, no doubt. But honestly I could care less. I care what you think,I care what David and the others here think because we are of like mind on our Jets. The rest is outside noise. Guys cutting tree limbs, guys doing road construction or a neighbor using his lawn mower😂

All these bozos that keep harping on the nothingburger about AR and mandatory mini-camp are just a bunch of empty bags talking. Edelman is such an absolute zero that I wonder how he gets around so much and has these sports media dweebs anxious to talk to him. He's the ultimate empty bag.

Not enough meaningful football news this time of year….therefore missing two days of mandatory practice is a big deal! For Pete’s sake, he showed up for very voluntary one, which traditionally he never does..geez!

He’s been to everything except these two dates. if he wants to party or try a bit of Ayahuasca for a retreat, it’s his business and fine with me!
