I’ve seen some leagues allow as low as 8 moves a season up to 30.
If the NFL had a rule allowing only X amount of moves a season , the Jets would be out of moves by Halloween because of the kicking situation.
The Browns might have two #1s for the 2027 draft but it appears that barring an injury to Stafford or a multiple of players that Ram pick will be around 30-32, making it a high two. They really would have to sweeten the pot for the World Famous NFL Draft Value Chart.
No matter how you add it up 3#1s have more value than 2.
Speaking of injuries if Dax Prescott, Jordon Love or Daniel Jones go down for a long period of time, it would be like Xmas for the Jets and their quarterback starved fans.
Hopefully the Jets are not put in a position to be forced to use all 3 of their picks on a quarterback.
Ashtyn Davis’s biggest sin was getting picked in the third round while the Jets were in dire need of wide receivers and offensive linemen.
Add in the fact, he was more of an athlete than a football player wasn’t helpful.
It looked like a genius move when the Jets sent Jamaal Adams packing the following season but Davis just couldn’t grab the brass ring and hold on to it.
The Jets were able to draft Sadiq because the Colts season fell apart, hoping for an encore from the Colts in 2026. The Packers and the Cowboys are pretty solid, and their first round picks will be in the high twenties, not great draft value. Browns have the Rams first round 2027 pick, good luck, as you correctly point out it’s essentially a second round pick. Bottom line is will be tough to move up into the top five, with late round first round picks.

A couple ways to look at this, top Safeties make twelve million in one year, but if you are the fourth Safety on a team, play a lot of Specials, you can carve out a pretty decent NFL CAREER. Davis , five years with the Jets, and got an opportunity to start for the Dolphins, making a career high of 3 million, started 15 games in 2926, but the Dolphins decided to move on. Da’Quan Felton is 6’5 213 and reportedly runs a 4.5, spent the entire 2025 on injured reserve with the Giants with an UNDISCLOSED injury . The Giants after paying Da’Quan for the year, cut him in early April. The injury is undisclosed, but Felton is trying to get back. Jets waive Felton “injured” the player apparently is just not healthy. Sad. Tim Patrick is about the same size at 6’5 215, but the competition at the bottom of the roster for Felton are two skinny guys Quentin Skinner & UDFA Malik McClain from Arizona State , both listed at 6’4 195. The Jets took a look, and moved on quickly
Jets signed Gee Scott TE/WR as a camp body to replace Sidiq, to help with the install of this Offense. Scrubeenie out of Ohio State, 6’3 238 TE , runs a 4.6, spent time last year on the Patriots PS & the UFL. An alternative is the Jets are looking for a big “X” WR that can block, they just cut Felton. Scott’s listed weight is 238, but he could have slimmed down , to reinvent himself as a WR. Jets like Ohio State players

Pure speculation on my part, but I believe Reich has a whole package for Sadiq, wants the QB’s to experience it, see how the Offense responds.
