Good morning
Happy Friday to anyone and everyone reading this. We’re only a few weeks away from the season now, so make the most of family time on a Sunday.
Earlier this off-season I posted my projected 53-man roster for the Jets and said I’d do another halfway through camp, and then a final one before cut-down day.
Today is that halfway point considering we’re two games down. Before the Jets take on Tamp Bay this weekend, I wanted to show you where my mind is at. As always, I’m interested to hear which players you agree with and which players you vehemently disagree with.
First, we’re going to start with some quick notes on practice yesterday. It was short and sweet, so not a lot to share.
CAMP NOTES
It was a really short practice yesterday and it was also a non-padded practice which is important to note.
The big thing is that Breece Hall was back and taking part in team drills, he took a pass from Rodgers for a big gain. The fact this man is back making plays 10 months after tearing his ACL makes me believe he’s superhuman.
The offence was up and down. The offensive line had a better day and didn’t allow a sack, Rodgers threw an interception to Jordan Whitehead, but also orchestrated an 8-play drive that led to a 10-yard touchdown by Randall Cobb.
Mekhi Becton worked as the right tackle, but that was with the 2nd team unit protecting Zach Wilson. Max Mitchell and Billy Turner continued to rotate between left and right tackle with the 1st team unit.
Tony Oden who was injured in the scuffle yesterday was back with the Jets, but he did have his arm in a sling, so he obviously took some pretty serious friendly fire.
