The 2023 CAP number for the Jets is 12.5 , but the CAP IS expected to increase by about 20 million, therefore the Jets have 33 million to play with. One of the things that Douglas has failed to do, YET, is to develop a pipeline for the Offensive Line, Max Mitchell maybe a start..with McGovern it could be, just a question of guarantees, at about the same salary.. But it seems that Douglas has been aggressive in pursuing a cheaper , nastier option at Center, once again nothing promising in the pipeline. The Fant signing could revolve around whether he is playing Left Tackle or Right Tackle. There is a disparity in the Tackle Market with mediocre Left Tackles making 18 million and above, and Right Tackles, ( with the exception of Conklin in Cleveland ] runs 8-12 million, huge gap. Love George , looking to extend 3 years 45 million , with a decent signing bonus, the deal could be CAP neutral in 2022, incentives plus significant guarantees. Tough contract.

Ideally, I'd like to see these 5 O lineman play together the next 5 years.

It will be Rankins' second year in the system. He's going to have to shine or he's gone.

Still looking forward to picking up a couple of guys after final training camp cuts. A DT a LB, and a swing Tackle would be ideal.
