Mougey Moves
Edition #1046: The Jets continue to fill holes with some shrewd signings welcoming a new kicker and offensive guard to the team.
Good morning ☕
I have to be honest and say that the offensive line was starting to worry me.
After watching AVT and John Simpson bolt for new opportunities, David Edwards sign in New Orleans, Zion Johnson and Teven Jenkins in Cleveland and Isaac Seumalo in Arizona, I was worried we’d be force to go guard early just to plug a hole. We may still do that, but the signing of Dylan Parham has ensured that we don’t need to reach if the value isn’t there.
I was sitting at Carrow Road last night watching the mighty Canaries come from behind to win our 8th league game in our last 10 when I heard the news. Not from Adam Schefter, Ian Rappoport or one of the beat writers, but from the readers of TJW on the free agency chat. Jets sign Dylan Parham
The offensive line was a huge concern heading into day one (officially) of free agency. Dylan Parham is no superstar, and he was 1/5th of the worst offensive line in football. A unit that gave up 64 sacks in 17 games.
That may not sound overly appealing but Parham was arguably the best of the bunch, and the issues for the Raiders pass protection mainly rested on the play of tackles D.J Glaze and Stone Forsyth who gave up 21 sacks between them.
