We’re going to bring tomorrow’s newsletter forward following Joe Douglas’s meeting with the media at the scouting combine in Indy. He had a few interesting things to say and here are the key points.

🟢 He confirmed that Hardman’s comments which seemed to indicate he asked the Chiefs to trade for him peaked their interest. That's tampering in it's purest form. If Hardman did contact the chiefs GM then the Jets are well within their rights to ask the NFL to investigate and if there is evidence that tampering was in play, the Chiefs may compensation. It'll likely be hard to prove, and we know the Chiefs are the darlings of the NFL…so I wouldn't expect anything to come of this. If they can prove it, the Chiefs will get a slap on the wrist and a fine and may forfeit a 2024 pick, but it’s probably a middle-round pick and it wouldn’t go to the Jets.
