I spent my career traveling with an international company and could not believe how much togetherness it created when we teamed with teammates in other countries on business opportunities. Breaking bread and actually working with each other brought so much good will and harmony. Only country I did not go to was Russia - so corrupt that it’s very hard for any U.S. company to do business in Russia. The Middle East was actually an incredible experience. Sports does this too. When people actually connect, amazing things can happen.
Only caution on Geno is that if this happened in Florida, there are many 3 lane highways with 40 mph speed limits that are extremely easy to go 75 mph without creating any danger. They do it because they are within city limits. I have no idea of the details of the incident - just throwing some caution out there.
I understand what you are saying, but doing 75 on any county or municipal road, especially in Florida, is just plain stupid, no matter how many lanes there are. And about creating danger, what about the danger to yourself and your passengers if something does happen in a single-car accident ???

My kids are older than you but I will agree that on the occasion I have long days and late nights recovering is much more difficult than days long past. Geno needs to get it together. I will say not knowing where he got his ticket but know some about driving in Florida there are area where the speed limit drops from 70 to 45 or less in a very short distance and in some areas there are even billboards warning of speed traps.

I know that posted speeds can change rapidly from municipality to municipality, and now it even happens on 95 when you pass through certain counties in certain states where the speed limit can go from 70 to 50 in what seems to be a heartbeat and then right back up to 70 again. And supposedly not having his license with him and/or issues with his registration makes it even worse. As far as the World Cup is concerned, the reactions of foreign fans to just about everything here in the US was amazing. The number of film clips about such things as portion size, free refills, the amazing food, Walmart, Bucc-ee's, kindness from our citizens and especially air conditioning are all over the multiverse. The funniest videos are the ones where a European fan cobbled together one when they went home comparing portion sizes from here and when they went back. It's just hilarious to watch. There have been some really heartwarming instances of our citizens helping out foreign fans that shocked the visitors. It really goes against the hogwash propagated about the US and its citizens.
As far as Geno is concerned, no one should be overly surprised that things are happening, it's just pro athletes being pro athletes and their sense of entitlement.

I had a totally different soccer experience I found it exciting and fun to watch. I did take the time to do some research so I had some understanding of what was going on. The only I can’t figure out is penalties a guy can get mauled and nothing is called and then a good actor gets a penalty for his team.

On the face of it, the charges are pretty serious and for the Lions to drop him so quickly, they might have more information available to them. I don't think anyone should go near him until more information is available. Even if he just dreamed up the plan, that's a serious intent as far as legalities go. That's definitely not using your head.
