Aside from picking up a player or two, most beat writers and yourself differ the most when it comes wide receiver, tight end and safety.
Ironically the Jets now have two players who always have some derivative of the word ATHLETIC attached to their names in every sentence, Ashtyn Davis and Zack Kuntz.
Most people will agree that the Jets are all in this year. In Saleh’s first two years you could carry a player based on their future potential blossoming but 2023 is different, this team needs football players that can produce not potential that might produce.
It’s been written many times in many different ways, what is Saleh’s fixation with Davis and his special team play. He must do fantastic things on special teams that the camera doesn’t pick up. The 22s must be really revealing because, #21 never shows up a lot when watching a game on tv. Hardee sticks out not Davis.
If Dean hasn’t shown enough to stick then the fans can question the Jets organization ability to evaluate players.
As far as “Wrong Way Kuntz”goes, the Jets would get rid of an excellent special teams player, Yeboah, for a player who really hasn’t shown a thing. A bit of hypocrisy here.
In the sixties, the Dallas Cowboys had a scouting staff that was fantastic, the first to use computers.
They drafted Bob Hayes. Hayes had won gold medals in the 1960’s Olympics and had set a few world speed records. He eventually was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Teams copied the Cowboys , Dolphins drafted world class sprinter Jimmy Hines, SF drafted Renoldo Neamiah and of course the Jets used two number one picks to trade up to draft Johnny “ Lam “Jones. Results for the sprinters was the same, success was fleeting. None of them came close to duplicating Hayes’s success.
Depending on who said it, there is a story out there that when Hayes was questioned how he could be so successful in football, his answer was that he was always a football player. He went to college to play football. He was asked by the track coach to run track. Hayes might have been athletic but he was first and foremost a football player.
I made a point to watch the Ashtyn Davis reps and he rarely made mistakes. He had a couple of bag angles in run support (one of them was glaring), but he was always in the right spot in coverage and was constantly directing the flow of traffic as the leader in the secondary. He was making a lot of calls and making sure everybody was lined up in the right place. True, he wasn't doing the "nose for the ball" thing that you think of when you think of a safety or linebacker showing out, but I wonder whether he's exactly being asked to do that in terms of his assignment on most plays. I totally understand folks wondering why they keep a guy who hasn't lived up to his draft capital, but that doesn't mean he's been a poor player on the team. He's carved a roll out on specials, he seems to be well respected in the locker room and especially in the safeties room given what I've seen of him out on the field pre-snap.
It's also worth noting that just because they've kept Ashtyn Davis doesn't mean that Robert Saleh personally is the driver behind that decision. A coaching staff is composed of a bunch of individual decision making hierarchies with the head dude at the tip top, with a bunch of input from similar decision making chains in the front office with the GM at the top. To suggest that Robert Saleh is personally making a decision on his own absent of tons of other decision makers is a little off base.
Also worth noting....Zach Kuntz is a rookie who has literally done nothing in college or at the pro level to distinguish himself. Ashtyn Davis is a multi-year veteran who has carved out a special teams role in addition to establishing himself as a veteran in the safeties room. Those aren't the same situations.
This is weird. I feel like I'm defending a family member or something. Friggin Ashtyn Davis....
also with Davis, he was late to football, and Safety is a heady instinctive position. He clearly has needed the time to figure it out. He looks better this year than any of the previous 3. In fact, whereas hisa athletic profile says ideal FS, he probably should have played the slot, less cerebral. Eventually, coaching staff has moved him from FS to SS and he is starting to play better. I think we might be surprised to see who he becomes within next 2 years.
Davis was drafted as a project. Biggest knock on him by the beat writers. He always takes the wrong angles. On the field this year, he has been outplayed by Dean. In the Buc game, a-lot of people went out of there way to praise Davis’s game with 7 tackles, same game Dean had 10.
Him being a veteran in the safety room doesn’t necessarily means he can be an NFL starter.
The Jets sacrificed Pinnock last year to keep Davis. Pinnock is a starter on the Giants. But Davis is not a starter on the Jets. Jets safety room not exactly loaded with all pros.
I think Saleh has enough influence on players status to who goes and who stays.
And yes, you can put Kuntz and Davis in the same same sentence because the Jets talked about Davis when they drafted him the same way they now talk about Kuntz, project
I understand he was a project. That much is true. He's a veteran, now, however. He has a number of roles on the team that aren't "developmental safety." I, also, don't think they are in the same positional role on the defense. Again...watching his reps on Saturday, he looked good. He was always in the right place, he was directing traffic and making sure everyone was lined up where they were supposed to be. That tells me a lot about his grasp of the defense. Dean, on the other hand, looked like he was out of position more often. That, of course, should be baked into the evaluation of the players. Davis has more years in the system, so of course he knows the system better. The Jets safety room has starters and the Giants, arguably, have a worse safety room. They have fewer NFL caliber guys, although they have the best player of the whole lot (the McKinney dude). I'd, of course, prefer to see the Jets attempt to keep a guy who has more developmental potential. I can see them actually drafting a safety in the next couple of years and I, honestly, don't see them detracting from the special teams to keep a 4th safety who MAY develop into something.
The Kuntz/Davis comparison is similar in the sense that they were both projects, but that's if you ignore the draft position, collegiate production, and if you are comparing Kuntz as a rookie to Davis as a rookie. You have to add a bunch of qualifiers to make the comparison work.
Finally....yes, Robert Saleh, as the head coach, has a lot of influence over the construction of the roster. There is zero evidence that he is personally keeping Ashtyn Davis on the team, however. I've never understood that line of thinking in the fan base. It's possible the position coach likes him, the assistant position coach likes, him, the ST coordinator likes him, the defensive coordinator likes him, or any combination of all of those.
Interesting thought on the Jets drafting a safety. They probably will but at what point in the draft. JD doesn’t seem to place a great deal on the value at those spots. Linebacker as well.
Excellent post and I fully agree. The Jets are an “all in team” and roster construction should reflect that. This is not the year to choose a highly athletic developmental player with a low football IQ!
Clowney had remarkable speed, couldn’t play a lick, numerous opportunities. Wonder what Chrebet RAS score would be ? Short but slow, but the man came to play everyday. “ Don’t be a Clowney, be a Chrebet “
Just exceptionally well done. Believe in the Senat & Yeboah picks, going with 5 Safeties. JD on the phones today, could there be a player for player swap ?
While we all hate to lose certain players for whatever the reason. Listed below is certain Jet positions that played in Gase’s last disastrous season. The up grade is mind boggling. Maybe that’s the reason that teams pilfer our cuts. I’m sure it didn’t happen during the Mr Coffee-Gase regime

I believe we will lead the league in having our cuts picked up by other NFL teams. (Dave, just think how good Ashtyn Davis will look in a Redskins jersey.) I don't know the special teams dynamic that I assume plays a big role on some of the final decisions.
I think we also miss a lot of the locker room, practice field, film room dynamic. Some of these guys distinguish themselves in all of those ancillary parts of being on the team. We see Trey Dean getting reps in practices open to the public and in preseason games. The focus on upside by fans is, of course, expected, but I think that we can, sometimes, be naive to the entire profile of a player.
Great article today, David, and great job on the roster. I really like the stats. Thanks for including them. I think there's at one mistake in there however. They have Brownlee dropping only 1 pass, and I'm pretty certain that he dropped 2 in the HOF game alone, and I think he also may have dropped another in the Carolina game, although they may not count when a receiver lets the ball hit his hands and bounce away or when he lets a ball go right through his hands as drops. If so, imo that's defective stat and doesn't show the full picture. I assume that you either got those from Jets X-Factor or PFF. The other thing to keep in mind with those stats is that they aren't equal. Some players stats were vs 1s or 2s, while others were compiled against the other team's 3s and 4s.
I have a few differences. For starters, I believe that Nick Bawden is going to be on the final roster, so that would make 5 RBs. I would send him to the PS and think it will be a big mistake on the Jets part, but he has been a big part of the offense in TC, and they didn't work either Yeboah or Ruckert enough at FB to not keep Bawden on the roster.
I agree with you that Boyle should not be on the roster, but I disagree with your take that the Jets will keep him on the roster. I see no way that they can do that, especially since they will keep Bawden on the roster. That would be wasting 2 precious roster spots. No one will claim Boyle. He will safely go to the PS.
I don't see any way that the Jets will be able to keep Greg Senat on the roster. He's had a very good TC, but his level of play was against 2s and 3s not 1s, and the Jets just don't have the roster spots to keep him. I doubt that he'll have any trouble passing through waivers and landing on our PS. If they were to keep a 10th, it would be Carter Warren, although I think he goes on IR.
I like keeping 5 LBs. I also like keeping Smart if Lawson goes on IR. We'll see how the Jets play it. I can see their going either way with Lawson.
IMO Hardee should be listed with the CBs, not the STs specialists. In doing so, there's no place for Hall on the roster. He was horrible vs the Giants 3s and 4s on Saturday night. He was beaten like drum and whiffing on tackles. He would truly be a wasted roster spot imo. By not keeping Hall, that would enable the Jets to keep Dean or Davis or Brownlee for another couple of weeks, and then stand a greater chance of keeping them on the PS.
Here's my stab at the 53-man roster. I have both Echols and Moreland listed on the roster. Echols of course don't count for week 1. When Echols comes back, the Jets will then have to cut one of Dean, Davis, or Moreland.
IR - (2) Carter Warren and Bernard-Converse* (Since Carter is injured and hasn't practiced recently, I think the Jets put him on short-term IR and see how Turner does. If Turner hasn't shown any improvement, they might cut Turner and replace him with Warren, or they could put Warren on IR for the remainder of the season since this was supposed to be a redshirt year for him anyway, and just allow him to spend the season getting healthy and getting stronger. The only other thing that they could do that would make sense to me, would be to cut another player and try to get him onto the PS, and keep Warren on the roster.
* Since Echols is suspended for week 1, he won't be on the official roster week 1, so they can keep Dean, Davis and Bernard-Converse on the roster week 1. At the end of that week, they will have to make a move to clear a spot for Echols.
I'm most curious to see what they do with Jarrick Bernard-Converse. He was injured all of TC, and they must have just activated him, if he was practicing last week. That means he can't go on the PUP Reserve list. So, their only options are to waive him and try to put him on the PS, place him on IR, or keep him on the roster. I think they like him a lot, and think he could possibly save a roster spot in the future since he can play both CB and S. For now, I think they keep him, although they probably could try to sneak him onto the PS since he has never practiced with the team or they could put him on IR. Unless they are content to let his rookie season be a total waste, I think they would have to put him on the short-term IR, but would he really be of any help this season? Dean deserves to make the roster, and most likely won't make the PS. Dean could contribute this season, either on STs or on D.
That's a pretty solid guess on the final 53. I think there will DEFINITELY be some roster construction shenanigans where they cut so-and-so and then bring him right back an hour later because he's a vested veteran and doesn't interact with the waiver wire. Bawden is, of course, one of those. Moreland might be another, although he's the kind of guy who probably made himself some cash with how he's played in camp and in the preseason. NFL teams are always looking for capable corners and he showed he is just that. Dean certainly deserves to be on the team and I think they can get creative to make it happen. I wonder how they do it.
Good job David, as usual. Can't really argue with you. Ashtyn Davis should be gone and Dean should stay. I think Erickson needs some serious consideration, he's got veteran experience that will be very useful whether it's on offense or special teams. He just gets things done right. But there are a lot of players being set loose tomorrow and there could be some good value there. If they want to make a trade that's fine, as long as it's a player-for player deal. And as I mentioned in my response to Steve B, they should be cautious with Izzy, he's going to be a very valuable asset for the team. If there's the least question about the injury, use the short-term IR and keep Bam on the roster and revisit things when he's fully healed. Other than that, let's see what the Jets actually do with the roster tomorrow.
I friggin love everything I've seen from Erickson! The guy has been excellent in every aspect of the game. Additionally, I saw some excellent blocking from TJ Luther and Jerome Kapp in the 4th quarter of that game.
I remember watching him in the two games the Jets played against the Bengals in 2021 and 2022 and he was a pain in the butt. He just can do everything very well instead of being spectacular at one particular point. Every team needs a player like him. And even though you didn't see a lot of Kapp, he has the Chrebet-type of ability to just go out and do what he has to do. Luther never really caught my eye too much, so I can't really make an informed opinion.
I didn't like a BUNCH of what I saw of Luther early on. I, just, noticed a bunch of that Gipson YAC happened as a result of solid blocking on the perimeter. Otherwise, Luther has been invisible.
A little bit. What made Elijah Moore interesting is that he seemingly played MUCH larger than his size. Think of dudes like DeAndre Hopkins or Jahan Dotson....those are dudes who aren't much larger than 5'11 or 6 feet tall who actually play like they're about 6'2 or 6'3. Elijah was different in the sense that he was, actually, like 5'9....but he played like an actual split end.
Damn, this next step is gonna HURT! Just based on your stats, David, I wish the Jets would keep, in order of priority:
> DEAN. Defensive Stops... and a Key component of quality Safety play. In contrast, Davis (cut him, Cut him, CUT HIM!!!!) had two missed tackles! Can't have that shit, man - i still remember that game last year when he missed a tackle that went for a long gain, or maybe even a TD, iirc?
> GREG SENAT. Pass Protection. 'Nuff Said.
> BOYLE. 4 TD vs 2 INT, with backups, but a clear progression of improvement as camp progressed. No sir, I don't think he clears waivers. Actually like him as the #2 QB, Saleh's infatuation with ZW be damned. On that note, Zach has accuracy issues, that haven't really improved very much. Also, he's fallen back into his back-pedaling, throwin off his back foot while still in motion ways. Me no like this.
> The Receivers. Day-yumm but what a tough choice to make. And I include Yeboah in this group. Gipson, Brownlee, Erickson, Taylor, Yeboah, Kuntz - we can keep two of the WR and one of the TE. Honestly, I know Kuntz' athleticism is intrigueing, but Yeboah is clearly more ready to play. This is a bird-in-hand, two-in-the-bush scenario - so I go with...
> YEBOAH. And I will punk out, defer the choice of wideouts to the coaches... 'cause any way I go, I know at least two of the remaining WR's will get snatched elsewhere. I think we could stash Erickson on the PS because of his age. If Gipson (return ability), Brownlee (potential), Taylor (familiarity with AR) are cut, I don't think they're wearing Jets Green this year.
> SURRATT. I know Sherwood has been groomed, and successfully for the most part. He'll be a capable replacement for what Kwon brought to the table last year. But this is a passing league, and mark my words, opposing OC's are going to be focusing on quick short passes that will stress the Linebackers. Surratt has a clear edge with his speed and coverage abilities.
more to come later, but have some stuff to do... Especially since you know we're gonna poach some guys fm other teams, I'd say in order of priority - OT, WR, DT, S
CG, I love ya, guy, but if you haven't seen the improvement in Zach, it's because you don't want to see it. He has definitely improved a great bit as has his accuracy. Boyle's great game Saturday was vs the Giants #4s. He also had the benefit of differenty play calling than Zach had and he had the reliable veteran Erickson at WR who went off. Boyles sucks. No one is going to claim him. It's pretty clear that Hackett has a plan with Zach, and has him taking baby steps. Hackett was less agressive with his play calling and had Zach basically taking shorter, safer throws. Zach missed badly on one throw, and that could have been due to Jenkins running the wrong route. Otherwise, his accuracy was excellent. He had zero help from his OL or WRs when he played. They opened no holes for the RBs, and there were several dropped passes.
I totally agree on Yeboah, Dean. and that Surratt should make the roster.
IMO there isn't room for Senat on the roster, and no one is going to claim him. His solid play in preseason was against the other team's 2s and 3s, if not 4s. Still, I hope that the Jets will keep him on the PS.
Craig, so for the same reason you diminish Boyles accomplishments cannot the same be made for Zach’s? Rodgers faced the Giants 2’s, so maybe we minimize the dart he tree to GW? 😂 Actually no! A dart’s a dart and that was truly a bullseye 🎯. Ok, enough of that. I’m not a Zach guy. Never wanted us to draft him. But he’s here. And w may have to actually need him at some point. As for his preseason progress, impossible to tell. As David has pointed out countless times Zach’s biggest issues are pressure. He’s posted the Lowe’s ranking of any QB that met the qualifications his first two years in the league. His numbers under pressure are even worse. The problem with the preseason stuff is that he was basically playing against guys destined to be future greeters at Wallmart. So I’m not ready to say he’s made a lot of progress because I don’t feel like he’s been tested. The thing I did like is that he did actually throw the ball down field Saturday. The finally took his training wheels off and let him Chuck a few downfield. I was disappointed for Zach when Hardman didn’t make that catch. To be fair it was a contested catch attempt and it appeared to me the defender might have even got a hand on the ball. No matter for a second Hardman pulled it away only to loose it when he came down on the ball pretty hard and it popped out. The second deep ball was a bad miss. E.J. Jenkins had broken wide open but Zach missed him by 5 yards. The good news for me was maybe the coaches are trusting him a little more. I do think it time to stop with the “baby steps nonsense. He’s. Not an 18 year old college freshman. He’s an adult man attempting to play a position that requires an unquestioned “alpha”! Alpha’s demand and command respect. They do not need coddling and nurturing. Zach is way to far along in his NFL career to be babied like a rookie.
Ron, this is the last time I'm reponding to you regarding Zach. I think you are totally wrong regarding Zach. You have a closed mind, and aren't even willing to consider that you might be mistaken and not know everything. It's pointless to discuss Zach with you any further.
Actually my friend I think it’s you with the closed mind! Everything I said is out there and has been said here by David. If you want to ignore it that’s your right. You trying to correct CG out it out there. I’m simply adding my opinion based on the statistics David has included in several takes on Zach. The kitchen is a bad place to be if you don’t like heat.
No, you're wrong. When I submitted a YouTube video and some links to some stats a week or so ago, your reponse was that you were good, that your mind was made up. That is NOT an open mind. I fully acknowledge that Zach may not ever become the QB that I thought he could be. Lesser QBs/players would have already been ruined and their career over by how the Jets mishandled and bungled his development. He is learning and progressing however, and more knowledgeable people (Rodgers, Hackett, Saleh, JD, Thielen, and many others in the NFL) than posters like you and I still believe in him, and believe that he can become a quality starting QB in the NFL. I trust their opinion more than I do my own or anyone else's that posts on a Jets fan site.
That's why I rely on the JetsWay - my eyes, dey ain't as good as dey usetah be haha. Tell ya what, i'll try to keep track of quarter & down & time of play so I can have a better point in time that I refer to with my opinions. But really, I count way more on guys that spend the time on the all-22's, on the rewind button, etc, for better input.
That, and the young'un's eyes like most a da folks here, I'll bet!
Now, on Senat, I know final cutdown is tomorrow @ 4pm. Do you think maybe they give him some reps against the Jets 1's and 1.5's? seriously, our 2nd string DL are pretty darn good, so if he can show improvement against them, whaddayathink?
Final note - I LOVE BRYCE HUFF!!!! The effin guy is a BEAST!
I say we trade him for a 1, 2 & 3 from the Cardinals next year
(... see Ray the Coastie duck as the rounds start landing around him ...)
Good projects by you David. Hoping its Nichols over Davis. For the WR spot im just not sure that replacment for Davis is on the roster yet. I fear that Bam Knight would be picked up by the Bills. Also - why is there not. single word anywhere about Izzy ? I am worried they will IR him and keep Bam.
Not hearing anything could be both bad and good. I think they are looking at him day-to-day and depending on the degree of comfort Izzy has. If he has any kind of serious discomfort they should use the short-term IR on him and keep Bam on the roster. Why take a chance on such a good talent ?? Especially facing some pretty good teams in the first 6 games. I'd rather be cautious with him now and have him fully ready when he comes back. He could be a very special player and I wouldn't want to chance it. As far as the WR situation goes I think the Jets already have the guy they need. Everyone seems to not bring up Alex Erickson's name. I think he's the perfect player for the task. Hardman has not impressed at all, but he will be on the roster. Gipson is definitely on the roster for both his return and receiving skills. His stop-and-go running after the catch is tantalizing. Brownlee had a good game but I don't know if he's a Clowney or a player yet. I think Erickson is a perfect player to have on the back end. He's tough, reliable, a great route-runner, not afraid to stick his nose in, makes the contested catches, a good blocker and has excellent special teams value. He has a lot of Chrebet and Edelman in his game and the Jets will need some veteran experience without CD. You can't fully count on UDFA's and rookies in pressure situations. But the Jets will do what they do.
I agree that Erickson should get very strong consideration for making the final 53. At one point, I thought he might be able to make the PS, but not after Saturday night's game. He is solid. I'm very disappointed in Hardman. He had looked great at UGA, and I thought that perhaps KC had just pigeonholed him as a "gadget" player, but I'm beginning to see why they did. He drops too many passes. Whether that's a lack of focus or shaky hands, I don't know, but he has been a major disappointment, and I doubt that Rodgers has any real trust in him. Unless he turns things around during the season, he will only be a gadget player here and will most likely be gone after the season. I'd love to see the Jets keep both Erickson and Gipson, but don't see how they will be able to. I think it's going to come down to one or the other.
That was my feeling as well. When ZW hit him with that pass I was like, yay !! Then WTF !!!! I have a feeling that if he doesn't pan out, he will be running decoy fly patterns all year, with the occasional WR screen or jet sweep. I really thought he would open up his game and prove something to the naysayers that say he's Inspector Gadget. I guess we'll see when the season starts. I really liked what I saw from Gipson, he was really cutting loose and has that jitterbug quality, with his stop, start and cut ability. And he seems to be comfortable with the job of returns. But whatever is going to happen is going to happen and I'm sure there will be some head-shakers for both who is staying and who is going.
Erickson against 3’s and 4’s was a mismatch! He’s a vet and the league knows who he is at this point I think we gave him a look and that might help him get an opportunity somewhere? He was on the cut list so I guess it won’t be with us.
I'm not sure you can really substitute Echols for Davis. They play different positions and do markedly different stuff on specials. If you were to see a swap of player for player, it'd be more likely they opt to keep one more/fewer linebacker in order to accommodate more safeties.
Of course! Most of us would rather not see Echols or Surrat go to the PS because they might get poached. There will be some roster gymnastics going on, I think. Guys are going to get IRed.
You have. He's their top backup CB and he's a player. He makes things happen. He definitely should be on the team. IMO the gap between Echols and Reed is far less than the gap between Echols and Moreland and then Hall.
Hall. Hall! just a disappointment, his game seems to have gotten worse. Don't know why, but I can actually see, even with my old eyes, how slow his hips are to turn when the WR makes his move.
I think he would be better in a straight zone D, I don't like him much in press or man coverage.
I always have thought.that roster construction is one of the more interesting aspects of training camp. For fans such as us who are strongly invested in the “Jets” we intensely focus on bottom of the roster selections. Our mini superbowl. Well this year we want a real title. Hence production will take precedence over development.
I'd rather Dean over Amos. Amos has experience but hasnt really stood out at all during camp. Dean on otherhand could be this years Tony Adams. I could see him getting some time late in season and then pushing to start next year at SS.
Interesting. I like Dean a lot, but in an "all in" year as I think Mike pointed out, the team needs to prioritize proven vets over future potential. That's one of the problems with going "all in." It's win at all costs that year, and it means worrying less about the future.

Abdul Salaam! What a Great Name! One Quarter of the Greatest Defensive Line, Evah!!!
Is it the real you, or are you just making believe, like when I catch a pass and (... still, @ 65yo ...) yell out "MAYNARD'S GOT IT!!!"
Great post, Bobber!

How many of these players, did you feel it was the end of the world if we lost them ? 15 for me, yet the NFL rolls on.
Indeed it does
All of those awful corners......I want to ralph
If we don't lead the league, we'll be in the top 5, maybe top 3.
Dean was cut as was Bam and Eguavoen.
They cut Dean....
Coño, Carajo, Puñeta!!!
Maybe he's not as awesome as we thought? They also waived Marquis Waters (that other safety who was visibly WAY worse than Dean or Davis)
Zonovan Knight waived
Offense (25)
QB (2) - Rodgers and Wilson
RB (5) - Hall, Cook, Carter, Abanikanda, Bawden
WR (5) - Wilson, Lazard, Cobb, Hardman, Gipson
TE (4) - Conklin, Uzomah, Ruckert, Yeboah
OL (9) - Brown, Tomlinson, McGovern, AVT, Becton, Tippman, Schweitzer, Mitchell, Turner
Defense (25)
DE (6) - Lawson, JFM, JJ, McDonald, Clemons, Huff
DT (4) - Q, Jefferson, Woods, Thomas
LB (5) - Mosely, Q. Williams, Sherwood, Barnes, Surratt
CB (6) - Gardner, Reed, Carter, Echols, Hardee, Moreland
S (5) - Adams, Whitehead, Amos, Davis, Dean*
STs (3)
LS - Hennessy
K - Zuerline
P - Morstead
Doesn't Gipson remind you of Elijah who the Jets traded to Cleveland.
I really liked Gipson on Saturday, though.
hey David!!! Hey JetsWay-Bruddahs!!!!
CGVet58
This back and forth is hilarious. I, thoroughly, enjoy it
Me too! 😂🤣
I trust their opinion more than I do my own or anyone else's that posts on a Jets fan site.
hey Craig!

Senat has already been released.
But whatever is going to happen is going to happen and I'm sure there will be some head-shakers for both who is staying and who is going.
yeah, his jitterbug ability - he's Garrett Wilson's Mini-Me...
Erickson against 3’s and 4’s was a mismatch! He’s a vet and the league knows who he is at this point I think we gave him a look and that might help him get an opportunity somewhere? He was on the cut list so I guess it won’t be with us.
Hi Mike...all good points. It wouldn’t surprise me if we ultimately trade for a player mid-season!
All good points Mike ! and agree
I'm not sure you can really substitute Echols for Davis. They play different positions and do markedly different stuff on specials. If you were to see a swap of player for player, it'd be more likely they opt to keep one more/fewer linebacker in order to accommodate more safeties.
i woud rather not do that
Of course! Most of us would rather not see Echols or Surrat go to the PS because they might get poached. There will be some roster gymnastics going on, I think. Guys are going to get IRed.
oh ya for sure
Guess I've been to hard on Echols....Hope so
Moreland to the IR.
Lawson and Carter need to be on the 53 if they're going on short term IR so they can come back this season
